I would be a pit crew member for a year also. If the offer regarding the 575M was life ownership though, I'd rather have the Ferrari. |

Thanks...but it's not. Just a really nice digital pic taken from a good friend's moving SL500 near my home. And, obviously, I can't type, since my first post called it a 500, rather than a 550 :-) |

I would have to say, I'd want to be part of the pit crew, of course. Can you imagine, traveling all over the world, to the most exotic tracks? Hearing the sound of the cars screaming up and down the pit straight, the smell of tires, gas, brakes. Hanging out in the pits, meeting the drivers, team principles, going back and forth b/w testing and racing! Amazing!
Although, driving a 575M for a year would be rewarding, but in a completely different way! |

I would have to say that The only thing I am qualified to do on the pit crew is hold the tire I dont think I would screw that up to badly. You have too look at it this way I do not think you could buy your way onto the f1 team but you can buy a 575M. I could be the fire extinguisher guy too. I just want one of those cool helmets. |

Agree. Plus (as a 550 owner) I would hate to give the car back after 12 months...but a year as a team member would leave a lifetime of memories! |

If you had a choice of being a team member of the Ferrari F1 team for a year or take possession of a 575M for a year which would you take?
I've driven a 550 Maranello so I know what a great car that is, but I think I rather be an official member of the pit crew of Scuderia Ferrari for a year. There are too few people on the planet that have had that privledge. Tifosi all the way!!! |
