There is a difference between changing the txmission control unit (TCU) and adjusting its settings. The "adjustable" TCU was introduced at the end of 2001 and some of us with earlier cars have had the switch done. The POS (point of slippage) is the adjustable setting that makes a lot of difference. |

I just got my car back and a new transmission ECU was installed in my 2002 Modena. The car shifts much smoother now especially from a stop and does not seem to have the jerkiness it sometimes had when cold. I think that they are continually improving the F-1 software. |

Overall, I thought the 360 F1 system shift pretty smoothly. Smooth shifting has a lot to do with the person driving the car whether in a manual shift or F1. That said, I think the software might be a little different for the 2003 model. |

the F1 tranny from its original design in 1999? Would the F1 in a 2003 360 be different/better than 2000? There has been a great deal of discussion regarding the various problems with the F1 including longevity and smooth shifting. |
