Interesting......I was at a Ferrari dealer in the Midwest a few weeks ago and he also had absolutely nothing in in the way of F-cars in his showroom. Ususally, he has at least 3-4 F-cars.

My guess is that they just can't make enough money on the used market now to justify the carrying costs. I know that 6 months ago they were calling old customers trying to get rid of cars and ended up sending them to the wholesale auctions.

Not sure Ted Turner would agree with you....Also your comment misses the important element of perception which crosses boundaries regardless of wealth.

Ferrari of SF had hardly ANYTHING when we were there recently. Few 355s, one 550, one 456GTA (bleckh!!!!) two 360s, no spyders on the lot.

But... the upstairs was all but EMPTY! They used to have all kinds of cool stuff up there, 512bbi, older F1 cars, Daytona, nutty stuff.

I was surprised.

Best!
Ben.

Moreso, "old money" family institutions. I am not really talking about lower-end millionaires, either. The preservation and modest growth of wealth is of upmost importance, and as such, will usually have a steady and impressive cash flow at any given time.

I stopped by FCI in Greensbro...and they had sold every (4)360 spider in the showroom within 6 hours!!! It was crazy...At the end the only cars in the showroom were A Enzo(on display), 360 Modena ready for pickup by a customer, 3 other older ferraris. I had no idea that the Economy does not stop peeple from buying Spiders on markups. I will post the Enzo pics later on in the week.
