Jim Lindsey, of Lindsey Automotive in New Orleans has alot of experience. Lindsey has worked on three of Jim Spiro's F50s. The last one has been continuously in Lindsey's service as Spiro's daily driver for over 40,000 miles, and is still being serviced by Lindsey in the car of a new owner who drives it daily.

I dont know anyone who has seen an F50 over 50,000 miles other than Lindsey.

Kevin,

Ferrari of Houston has a lot of experience on the F50. They have cars shipped in from all over to work on. You should speak to Scott. He is well acquainted with all aspects of this car.

I exchanged emails with Jean-Remy Facq about the Tubi Exhaust he had on his F50 because I was finding out information for a few of Ferrari F50 enquiries I had in the UK.
He said the Japanese owner he bought the car from had done the following: Tubi headers, no cats (tubi test pipes) and no mufflers (tubi pipe-only exhaust).
He said the car wasn't *like* an F1 car - IT WAS an F1 car... "the trumpets from hell" he said!

Very very nice and helpful chap.
What a small world - interesing to hear you worked with him!

EDITED TO SAY: Going back on topic - only Maranello Sales are able to work on the Ferrari F50 here in the UK... According to Ferrari, apparently they are the only dealer who have A) the technical know-how and B) the equipment to service it properly!

My car was delivered through park place but ther ewas also another individual who i worked with that bought one that had his sit there for eons. He didnt have mufflers or any of the jazz. Its unlikely my car would have been seen there except on the day or two befr ei picked it up. THe one that sat there forever was jean-remy facq's, who is now back at microsoft actually!

Kevin
Algar Ferrari in Philly has worked on plenty of F40's and I've seen some F50's go thru the shop. They have an F50 for sale now. Maybe they did a recent service on it and could provide you with some info.

anyone out there have any info on which dealer has the most experience working on f50s? I have two odd (most likely electrical) problems which do not affect the car drivability but still put up a warning light. I'd love to talk to someone with some actual time and experience working on them. thx
