This "Racer" game if fun! http://www.racer.nl/
Addictive like this site, both consuming to much precious time.
That Enzo if a nervous thing with so much power, easy on the throttle and keep it in 4th gear in the beginning! Also have P3/4, F40, 8 Ferraris in total.
Des, leave the "Select Car" screen with the Enzo on your PC as some kind of screensaver!

Seen the Enzo in Marranello in action and for me it is without any doubt the most exiting car ever made,

Scott: Agree with you. It's Hideous. And as you know, have seen many in person. However, the 360 is starting to grow on me, so ask again in another 6-12 months.

I would like to state for the record, that as time goes on, I like the older models more and more. I guess I'm just getting old and don't understand anymore.

See you at the show!

Tires look a little thin to me. :-)

I can't pass judgement on the Enzo until i actually see one. Better yet, drive one.

Vincent.

I think because we are "not ready" for that kind of shape. It looks like a rocket ship.

Looking back at F50 in 1995 eventually all the Ferrari lines follow the shape headlights for 360, bumper for 550, challange grille for 355,360.

I think the shape of future F-cars will follow ENZO.

Look at the upcoming 460, replacement of 456, the tail light has followed the Enzo's tail lights.

I can wait until the next F street cars come out

I dont think its 'ugly' per se, but it isn't a great shape, it could have been so much nicer. But then in the grand scheme of what shapes are falling out of other factories at the time ugly designs seem to be a growing trend. Look at the 7 series BMW, the new 5 isn't a great deal prettier, the Renault Megane, the Fiat Multipla, the list goes on. Car designers seem to have taken leave of their senses, hopefully its a temporary lapse.

Thankfully some designs have improved of late, the latest Audi cabriolet isn't as slab sided as the earlier model it replaces, the MB SL is a major improvement on the now VERY dated looking 1990's SL. TT's and Boxters have always looked great. Lets hope the entry level 996 gets a style revisit sometime soon

Back to the Enzo, I would describe the interior as UGLY but then again all of these things are so subjective, whats my dread is anothers love, thankfully otherwise the world would be a very boring place!

Hey Doc, I'll have you know I'm a "Formula 3"! I will take a look at the Concorso, probably will love it in person. We shall see.

I'd say I like half of the Enzo (the back end). I HAVE seen the car in person (FLI) and think that it is very impressive in the flesh. However, I still don't care for the styling up front. That nose sticks way too far out for my liking. Looking at it from the back is fantastic though. I agree with some earlier posters who mentioned the 288 GTO. To me, that car's styling was gorgeous from front to back. After the 288, the F40, F50 and Enzo "lost" something in the aesthetic department, in my opinion and I've scrutinized each of these cars. Too much science (wind tunnel) and not enough "art". Of course, let me drive any of them for a day and I will not complain one bit!!

I didn't like it at first until I saw it at the Houston Auto Show. The car commands attention is may be the most amazing modern automobile Ive seen yet.

I disagree, the Enzo is the hottest car to come from Ferrari since the F40.

"Mike, what platform will "Racer" be for? Looks like I'm going to have to pick up a copy. :o)"

it's for PC, Mac, and Linux. it's also completely free! still in the beta stages, but it's got a great physics engine already, allowing some realistic handling if you configure the cars properly. go to http://www.racer.nl/ and check it out. all the cars/tracks for it are user made, so there's a great sense of involvement. the Enzo's already available to download for it at http://www.racer-xtreme.com/

enjoy

I don't care for the Enzo's styling. I respect what the car is. The best performance Ferrari has to offer. Form follows function.

I'm not a big fan of the new line from Ferrari across the board. The last car I go nuts over is the 355. I like the 456 as well. Other than that...

288 RULES!

I love all modern Ferraris, so naturally the Enzo is on my list of favorites. I don't think you can really compare the designs of the this car to that of any other, and that uniqueness is part of what makes it so special. i wish i lived near Detroit or in Europe, but i don't know if i can risk having a heart attack from seeing it in person, after all i'm only 18 and need to live for a while yet.
i made this Enzo for Racer a little while ago (the same game the 308qv is gonna be for)

Ive seen a few, the profile isnt too bad & the nose is nice. the tail needs a nice big wing. I took a front 3/4 foto at Pocono & it came out looking like some kind of Lunar tractor :-)

its very fast but the 512TR is worlds better looking

Saw a black one - twice, at Ferrari of Long.
Saw a red one at the auto show.
Saw a yellow one at WWOC.

There's absolutely nothing like a red Ferrari, but i still prefer black on black. If you haven't seen this car in person, it is a must. It has a presence beyond anything i've ever felt before. i'm still waiting to see a blue one, but i think black is the way to go for me.

i understand some people on here have driven one (or a few), have gotten riDES in one (or a few) and/or even own one... Still, i think considering the circumstances, i'm one of the luckiest people in the world to have seen three different colored Enzos... i cannot stress enough how important it is that you see this car in person before you make your final judgment... Nothing i've seen in person has captivated me; drawn me, compelled me, filled me with lust like this car... It's truly amazing.

In pictures, I thought the Enzo looked like a cobbled together car. This reminded me of a Lamborghini and I wasn't too stuck on it. But when I saw it in person, I was struck at how coherent the design really is. (BTW, I think the Diablo looks better in person too.) Some cars photograph really well from any angle (308's in particular) and some don't photograph well at all (Enzo, Diablo and my Europa) but look pretty sweet in person.

i didnt like it in fotos, opinion held at ny auto show and same opinion on track at pocono with 2 red ones. ferrari looks should not have to grow on you, their styling should be best feature and its a real let down imho.

Hated the F40 for years. Now like it. Still dislike the F50. The Enzo ws ugly at first but is starting to grow on me now. The 360 however, is still not in my favorite list!

I sorta agree JScott. I think it has lots of conflicting angles and curves. Love the side profile of it, but I don't like the front nose of it. I don't like the cockpit type canopy of it or the F50.

I personally prefer the F40 styling. I can see those guys tracking their cars, but I can't see someone putting a wing on their new Enzo and adding slicks and new rims and then driving the hell out of it.

I know it is a great car but it reminds me of the phrase "all hat, no cattle"

Rob.. We agree totally.. the 288GTO was prob the prettiest special ever. Phil Hill commented that it was what the 308 should have been to begin with ( bodystyle I believe).

Rob:

I agree, it looks soooo much better in person. And when I saw and heard it on track...well, it is simply the most amazing road car on earth. The acceleration of that thing was truly awe inspiring. As far as I am concerned if one has the funds $650k sticker for that car is quite fair, especially when compared with a $300k Murci or Saleen, etc.

Have you seen one in person yet? I hated the proto photos, then it slowly grew on me as I saw more photos, and when I saw it in person I was overwhelmed. That said I still think the 288 GTO is the best looking of the bunch.
