Cal,
Obviously you've got good taste..Great looking woman companion, a past Lotus owner (like myself)...and a Ferrari to boot...BUT, what that other car doing in your garage? Now THAT is a "small penis" car, for sure....

Regards and best of luck with your Ferrari..

Craig:

Enjoy the car, their great. I've had mine for about 3 1/2 years now, and other than the maintenance costs, it has been just great.

Great car, enjoy it! Most people are just jealous and thus the negative comments. Your having the car only makes them realize their own short comings.

I noticed on your link that your girlfriend has been viewed more times than your car!

Compliments to her!

Hi guys, still finding my feet here, just thought I'd share a few thoughts since purchasing my F355B. I wrote it for another UK based car forum where many people think Ferrari's are completely unobtainable, please don't feel patronised!

The F355 isn't the fastest car but it IS rapid. The car deals with speed in a way I hadn't experienced before being able to drive my own car with a heavy foot.

0-60 in 4.7 incidentally the exact same figure as my previously owned Esprit and a top speed of 180 odd, the Lotus felt faster. More supercar like, when the turbo spooled up you got a golf club to the head and everything became a blur, whereas the Ferrari just keeps pulling and pulling right up to 8700! The Lotus was more cramped due to the gear tunnel running right through the centre of the car. I never felt completely relaxed driving it. It broke down continuously and was a pain in the a**e to drive on anything other than country roads when youre wanting a blast. The 355 is easier to drive, more refined and very well made (not Porsche standard but not far off). The details are gorgeous and the styling imo is perfect.

If I needed a car for everyday use in a perfect world I wouldnt hesitate to use it, unfortunately this isnt a perfect world and I think of posts Ive read in the past which tell of returning to Ferraris to see key scratches on every panel, slashed tires etc. For this reason above any other the F355 will live quietly in the garage until the sun is shining, theres nothing else on the road (5:00am Sunday morning is pretty good) and I fancy a drive/breakfast out... in another county!

In the 1800 mls Ive driven in a little under a month, Ive not had a single problem. The servicing costs have recently halved, so now comparable with the Esprit. The fuel bill however is shocking! Having to fill the car twice at the weekend isnt a lot of fun, but its the price you pay for keeping the car revving so highly. When the engine sings (to quote about a boy) it brings happiness and sunshine into my heart *smiles*

Returning to the car after parking its often surrounded by people, sometimes enthusiastic, sometimes not. Ive had people tell me I should have got a Porsche and a jeep instead, on questioning they couldnt tell me what Porsche I should have got only that it would have been better Or that Im a w***er I dont mind people calling me that, but because of the car I drive? Thats the reserve for BM drivers isnt it? ;-) After the M3 I SHOULD know :-) At the end of the day, I dont really care what people think, especially people who have never sat in, let alone driven any Ferrari. I would never think of suggesting that the miserable cow who climbed into her fiat multipla was anything other than a pleasant person getting money from an ATM. I however, after being informed by her, have a small penis...

Theres few cars I can think of that were released nine years ago that still have the road presence, performance and sound to make many more modern cars look and feel so bland and boring. Id wanted and waited since its launch in 1994 to own this car, since then Ive bought every press pack/release, every factory released brochure, and every magazine report I could lay my hands on. It was a passion that has now become reality, I couldnt be happier.

Lifes too short unlike my more educated opinion on my manhood!

Regards,
Cal
