Nobody has commented on the fact that Des had enough class to ask Rob if posting a bunch of pics was OK on this site! That is a true Gentleman!

Todd,

It is a 66 Lemans with the 326 and original Hurst 4spd and A/C. My dad owned for about 12-15 years and I just took possesion of it about a year and a half ago. It is a blast to go cruising but the only bad thing is that it isn't a GTO for the speed but probably a little more rare since there was only 1200 4 spd hurst Lemans made that year. Thanks for the interest.

DES,

i guess no body has informed you but, CAMERAS are certainly NOT allowed on any of our meetings, drives or various activities. Our wives, girl friends, and parole offices CANNOT have any evidence that may impact our civil rights (I think you understand this!).

That noted, conduct yourself accordingly!!

Des, lucky for you that the Republic of New Orleans does not recognize any binding restraining orders that originate anywhere else. Also our motto is "what happens in Nawlins stays in Nawlins". It will be quite useful during your trip here in Oct.

Dave
BTW, have you gotten in touch with John? I was with him at the track yesterday and forgot to ask him if he had spoken to you.

DES, check out www.ofoto.com. You can post for free, it takes hi-res pics and you can even order hard copies. Best of all, it's run by Kodak, so it's not one of those "here today, gone tomorrow" photo sites.

Thanks, Matt, you just blew my cover...

Talking to Barry was a trip - he knows so much about so much; every word out of his mouth was valuable information; i was amazed at the stuff he was just rattling off like it was common knowledge... Tom & Todd were really laid back and had no problem helping me distinguish 308s from 328s and vice versa... Bruce was... well, Bruce was Bruce; he had me laughing most of the time... i had a great time when i was there and met some really cool people - i'm just not the photo type...

Maybe just post one or two pictures of each car that you really like, instead of like 25 F-50 pictures. We've all seen them before and appreciate you taking and posting them, but 10-pictures of the same car is really not necessary.

Or I could just read each post and say "what jim said"

LOL, Jim, i'm not fond of self portraits, but you're right about not posting 30 pictures of one car from every angle; i need to take that into serious consideration...

No money needed. Are you sure you need to post 100 pics though? I know you will enjoy all of them, but even the largest event should be covered with 10-20 pics. That's one reason I have file limit sizes, think how quick my memory would go if everyone was posting 2 mb pics. I really should be stricker than 250k.

DES: how about you don't post every single pic you take and only post the good/interesting ones?

No need to see 30 pics of the same car from every angle. Get pics of the users too. Nice to put a name to a face. In fact get YOUR own pic!

Rob, this is one of my main reasons for asking - if i post them somewhere else, they'll be gone after only so long, but i know you keep everything... Which is good, but also bad 'cause after a few trips like this one, i'll have posted so many pictures that you'll have bought so much space that you're own a considerable fraction of the internet...

i posted over a hundred pictures from my WWOC visit and that's only because i was 3 hours late and ran out of memory sticks...! Can i send you some money to help offset the cost of hosting the extra space or is it a monthly thing once you acquire more room...?

Dear Rob...

As you probably know (and are tired of hearing), i'll be going to California for a weekend - leaving this Friday - to meet with The Ferrari Driving Club. While i'm out there, i have every intention of taking pictures whose total number can only be DEScribed as, well... obscene. Armed with a whole sleeve of AA Wellington batteries and a collection of memory sticks, i'll be taking pictures of everything, everywhere i go, except for the bathroom - and even then, i can't make any promises...! So here's my dilemma: not wanting to selfishly sponge your bandwidth with pictures of what will undoubtedly be the best time of my life, i need a solution... i want everyone to see my pictures; to share in the joy and aftermath of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, but not at your expense... i'm looking for suggestions or advice, oh, wise one. Please direct me.

Very Truly, Respectively, Sincerely, Gratefully, Truthfully, Post-Whorishly Yours,

Carbon Danger DES Danny Post Whore McCoy
