"Filling it to the max level is actually overfilling it."

Max really means if you put any more oil in it you won't like the consequences. Mid-way is the target operating level.

"Excess oil then drips into the collector and gets sucked right into the intake, where you burn it."

Blow by, is picked up by the scavenge oil pumps, pumped into the oil sump, when it inflates the existant oil allowing the crankcase ventilation system to suck actual oil into the intakes; which causes the blue smoke.

Loose a quart of oil, and the blue smoke will go away.

I was warned by the dealer about this. The oil level on all 360's should be MIDWAY between the low and high marks. Oil should be tested when warm, allowing 3-4 minutes for the oil in the heads to seep back to the sump. Filling it to the max level is actually overfilling it.

The oil then drips into the collector and gets sucked right into the intake, where you burn it. You do not have leaky seals or ring problems, you just have too much oil. I had this problem myself recently. I bought a $2.00 slim turkey baster that fit down into the oil reservoir and sucked out the excess. Problem went away immediately.

It probably is condensation within the exhaust system. I have that with my Spider as well. Nothing to worry about.

Call your local Ferrari service department. Describe your problem and they will tell whether it is necessary for you to bring it in.

Full mark with engine running at normal operating temp or full when the engine is off and cold?

No recent Oil Changes but I noticed that the oil is right at the full mark on the stick.

I have a 2001 360 Spider (Euro-Converted) that about every other time I start it in the morning it blows a constant amount of blue smoke for about a minute out of each side of the exhaust.
The car has about 2500 miles on it and I am the original owner. I am running Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil in it.
I have only noticed this for about the last 200 miles that I have put on the car.
Any ideas or has anyone had this same problem.
The car has Test Pipes and a Tubi that I installed myself about 400 miles ago.
