I think the quicker change of gears only happens when the motor is over 5,000 rpm's and not during normal driving. I could be wrong.

What I gather from reading material, is sport mode allows the quicker change of gears and in the suspension department, the slip thresholds are higher. The sensors in sport mode maintain better wheel to road contact and brake body movement immediately.

Though not a Modena owner, the Modena members could fill in what I may have missed.

It is not explained for beans in the manual. In fact I was shocked to see typos in the book! Nice job Luigi!!!
