Hi, Todd: Quickly, I have to run: I forgot that you can reach the seat belt modules easier by removing the gauge/switch panel below the radio. Just remove the two screws on the shift gate, jockey the black plastic panel around the shifter backwards slightly, then tilt out the panel with the two gauges. It comes right out, you don't have to force it. The modules are the two "black boxes" under radio, with gang plugs. Mine have been disconnected for years. Don't forget to "belt up" if you will be doing it manually!! |

Todd: I'm guessing that the Seat Belt warning light is on because it is signaling that there is a malfunction in the operation of the system. It seems safe to say (from your first post on this thread) that the retractors are not functioning properly. They may be misadjusted, bent, shorted out electrically, debris in the tracks, etc. On a safety item like this, you pretty much have to go to the dealer, but new mouse mechanisms run about $2000 from what I have heard. If you are going to use the backup/manual system (which seems to work fine and is a factory design), then you can disconnect the modules, which are in the central console below the radio. Bingo, lights out. It isn't real easy to get at the modules, you have to remove the panel on the right front side of the console. You can do it, the dealer probably wouldn't DREAM of disconnecting a safety item!! |

Todd: Connect belt "C" to anchor "F" when you get in the car. Leave mouse "B" unattached. By the way, welcome to FChat, enjoy your Ferrari! |

If my seatbelt retractors worked (which they don't) I would disconnect them anyway. STUPID design. I connect my belts manually per the backup system. |
