I agree with Martin, that color is wonderful. $159k is a very fair price in today's market. Enjoy! |

Info: The Ferrari Market letter lists 25 360 Modenas for sale (21 USA) and 16 Spiders (12 USA). It also lists 23 550 Maranello's. You don't have to wait for anything if you are willing to pay the big bucks. Isn't capitalism grand! |

I got my 2000 Modena coupe for an adjusted price of 159K (paid more, but got challenge grills, service, front bumper repaint, etc. included)--5K miles, perfect shape, though it is Pozzi Blue/Tan (which I love, but it isn't everyone's cup of tea). Numerous options, great history, still with 18 months of warranty. It is a bit of a premium, to be certain, but not bad. If you need a connection, contact Greg Theiss at Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo in Portland, OR. He's a good guy. |

I have had no problems getting my '99 360 Euro serviced here in the NW.There are 2 ex dealership licensed Ferrari mechanics who have opened their own shops. It's nice not being treated like a 2nd class citizen at the dealership and it's cheaper too. |

I thought 360 coupe prices were coming down. Am I wrong? I thought you could get used ones at MSRP or less by now, like 99s. Being as no one actually drives these cars anywhere near their engineered durability limits and performance limits for that matter, why not get a used one still on warranty if possible? I'd rather have a good used 99 (that has been sorted out by now if there were any issues) than by a new car that I wait for 4 years to get, and then go f&*#ing insane when my $170K car wont go into gear because Giuseppe was a little too heavy in the vino the day he assembled your trans. |

Euro or not Euro, a Ferrari can and will be serviced. It doesn't take a genius to work on one and a Euro Ferrari is not much different in it's mechanics either. I've been through this before and no problems getting service when needed. I always believe in if there is a will then there is a way... go figure... |

I bought my 360 from Shelton and believe them to be straight shooters. I loooked at a lot of other cars and dealers before dealing with Shelton and Bud Root. They told me the same thing for a spider:3-4 year wait with no guarantees. Seems like Ferrari has slowed coupe production to a crawl to make the spiders, so coupes are generating longer and longer waits. In bought a "delivery miles" spider for a 70k premium, but have seen U.S. spec coupes at 180-190k, a 40-50k premium. They're just not going to get cheaper any time soon. Yes, you can get on the short list if you're a rock star or someone with REAL good connections (see this month's issue of CAR magazine)but this is incredibly rare. Best move is to get on a wait list now and see if they bump you to the front of the wait list for the new model when it comes out. Then you too can cash out at a premium. Or just grit your teeth and pay market rate and start enjoying it now. Dealers are under increasing pressure to NOT service Euro cars (again, CAR magazine, current issue), so if you buy a Euro and have major problems u r out of luck. |

belive me the 360 is worth it. any commodity in high demand like that is going to require a premium. |

I don't get this. It makes sense that 360 production is sold out. They'll eventually replace it. But, if you get on the list now, don't you just move on to the new model? It doesn't make any sense to scrap the list and start over. These sales guys are so cocky it's unbearable. It'st no wonder Ferrari Dealers have lousy reputations. |

I would be surprised if the salesman was Bud Root at Shelton since he is a sraight shooter. The dealership here in Portland,Or requires a 25k deposit for the 360 spyder and THEY keep the interest. With a waiting time of 2-3 yrs even at 5% that can add up to real money. |

modman/manu - i know that in many states (most? all?) car dealerships do not make money on deposits. in fact they are usually kept in specific types of bank accounts that are a pain in the ass for the dealers to deal with. taking deposits in MA i know is almost more work than it's worth, though there's no way around it of course. this has been discussed before here and i remember a few folks saying "my state too". fwiw, doody. |

Next time a dealer tells you that the wait is 5+ years tell him that is a sure sign that Ferrari has too many dealers. That should shut him up. |

A friend walked into Shelton last year and asked when he could get a 360 Spyder. The salesman replied that the person who's going to build his spyder is not born yet. |

The wait is not worth it, and it's a crappy game plan they have to make interest out of your deposit. It's not just a car dealership but also like a bank except they keep the interest. I don't believe in the waiting time, if you know someone really well you don't have to wait even a year. I know Noel Lee got 2 360's within 8 months and one was a convertible so there you have it. The Ferrari dealerships are profit pigs and I would rather have a euro one anyway, they look better without the large corner lamps. You could trade your old Ferrari and they'd give you peanuts and resell for high market value so go figure, I've had bad experiences with a couple of Ferrari dealerships trying to sell me cars that were not even properly looked at. You are sometimes better buying one private party or euro spec one for much less.. one good advice is to get the car on the lift and you can see more than 60% of the cars history very easily... |

Well, I have a Euro car and it runs great. I got a late model 2000, with 300 miles for 138,900. Now I that I see what the market is doing that seems like a nice price, and now that Ferrari has lost the patition it was a good gamble. I bought the car when no body would touch them, and for what, or why? it did come from the ferrari factory |

Yes, I would like to pay close to MSRP for a new car. I refuse to pay $20k-$30k over MSRP. As far as a Euro car, I prefer to have a factory warranty in case anything goes wrong. Maybe with all the Euro cars starting to come in prices will come down. |

Oh, now i get it. You mean you actually wanted to pay list price for the car. That's ridiculous! Of course there are no more at that price. But, if you want one with "delivery" miles (from la to ny), in a color combo, etc. not of your choosing, there are plenty of dealers that will be happy to sell you one over list. Just out of curiosity, the resolution of the euro car thing seems to have gone quietly unnoticed here. Are any people now rethinking the grey market thing in view of the DOT disposition? |

Miller quoted me 2-3 yrs. on a 360 coupe last weekend, but basically the production run of 360's is sold out. Unless, of course, you're a relative of a dealer. |

8 to 10 years?!?! I highly doubt they will still be making 360's anymore. Try miller motorcars (www.millermotorcars.com) they have some in stock, or you could order one and probably wait 3 years, 4 tops. |

That is the stupidest thing I have ever ever heard. Wait time for 360 Spyder in the UK is 4 years. In 8-10 years they wont build a 360.

I was checking to see the wait time to order a 360 coupe at Shelton Ferrari in Ft Lauderdale,FL. They told me it would be 8-10 years. I almost had to laugh at the salesman. I could be dead in eight years!! LOL |
