After the Miura, including Jalpa, Coutach, and Diablo, Lambos have been known as gold chain cars.. just go to the club events for both, which I have been to, and you can really tell which brand is for drivers and which one is for posers. The Ferraris are driven, and Lambos are showed -- most of the time. But you hit the nail right on the head - the C is more of a kit car, the Ferrari more of a finished sports car. Nevertheless, my point still applies that Lambos are more for people who want to attract attention with all the wings and scoops and swing up doors and less concerned with the actual driving... Ferraris are more for serious drivers who dont need the extra tacked on superficial stuff of the Lambos... Maybe if Lambo actually raced their cars professionally the public perception will change... |

Here I'll have to disagree with Anon cus the C is a very serious sports car, it just has more weaknesses that the Ferrari cus Lambo was always on a shoestring budget & when u bought a Lambo u were expected to realize u were buying a serious sports car 90% finished, like a kit , u take it home & do the last 10% right & then u really have something awesome. The C has F1 suspension, state of the art in 1970, 450 hp, it handles twisties better than a TR cus it has a shorter wheelbase, and its almost 1000# lighter. the brakes r not up to snuff cus u have tiny 14" diameter wheels up front. But a good driver in a properly sorted C can kick some serious butt on a track. Its just unforetunate that most Lambo driver r gold chain wearing posers |

Get the C if you just want to cruise and show off at parking lots, and want to attract lots of attention.. if you want a serious sports car with heritage and plan to REALLY drive it, get the TR... It all depends what you want to get from the car.. |

biggest problems with the C is the electrical system is something of a joke. u need some1 really good to redesign it so u dont have everything going into too few fuses. Also they tend to eat solenoids & , clutches every 5,000 miles or so |

ELI- The last few Anniversary Couns we've sold, have gone for mid-90's. These were very low-mileage examples, with no stories. The Diablo is an improvement over the Coun- from a reliability and driveability standpoint. Again, as with the Coun, you have to be cautious. Be sure all of the updates/service issues have been addressed- the early cars had several. |

CPI Value Guide at http://www.cpivalueguide.com/ has the 1989 C in excellent condition at $101,000 or so. These numbers are excellent and usally higher than 90% of the market. |

u have to keep in mind that the C was state if the art, in 1970. while the TR has a whole generation worth of technological improvements so they really r 2 different animals. The C is more of a vintage/classic car even though it looks like it comes from the 22Century while the TR comes from the begining of the electronics revolution in autos. The TR will always be more reliable & more user friendly but i promise the C will leave your whole body abuzz after every drive The C is a diva, when she is good she is really great, but when shes cranky she can b a real Btch whereas the TR is always great |

The Lambo is, most certainly, an attention-grabbing vehicle! Especially an Anniversary Edition. However, they are considerably more tempermental than the TR- and the TR is a much more reliable driver. I sell these cars for a living- at a rather well-known Lambo dealership. The Lambo is a neat car, but you must be prepared for it to require more care and feeding than your TR. That said, I can find you the best available example, should you decide to make the pluge. |

i have an 86 Countach & a 93 512TR. the banana seats in the 86 I find more comfortable than in the 512. also the C's cabin is much wider than the TR although headroom may be a little less. Visibility out the sides is much better in the TR, out the back is about the same. as far as reliability have a mechanic carefully check the car out cus parts r more than TR parts. Best bet is to ask Al Burtoni at milano Imports to find u a nice car. he is the best lambo mech in the US. the C eats a clutch every 5000 M or so & u have to remove the 1800# engine & trans to do it, stupid early 70s design. Your mechanic will despise the C. TR is much easier to work on. C tends to fould plugs much more than TR also C is much more the race car ALL the time whereas TR is only a race car when u punch it I love them both but the C definately gets more attention Have fun, good luck |
