The barchetta seats are very very expensive. It's about $8k ea from the factory & $8k for a pair on the secondary market. They are beautiful though....I wonder if our CF manufacturer brothers are interested on making a replica. Valence are you reading this thread?

Perhaps the easiest swap are Serie Speciale seats, very much like F40 seats but in leather. They'll bolt in, though the seatbelt issue I'd have to see to build a solution. |

Todd, I have Carbon Fiber daytona seats in my 348....they work great and are extremely comfortable. If you can find a set, I highly recommend them! |

On the 91 348 the seat belt reels are part of the seat, making the seat switch a little more difficult. I've got 2 great recaro's from an installation on a previous car but recaro claims they don't make sliders/supports that will fit any of their seats into a 348. I'm looking to fabricate some supports. |

J, For four-point belt installation in an open car, you'll need a four-point roll bar with diagonal and horizontal braces installed structurally, then you can utilize the roll bar for belt mounts. Rob |

Rob, I would like to put some sports seats in my 348 spider. Can I do this since the seat belt reel is attached to the seat and not to the rear bulk head. This is the same with the F355 spyder. The GTS and GTB 348's and 355's have not got this problem. I have never seen a spyder 355 or 348 with sport seats with a 4 point harness system.. Any suggestions. ??? I have been offered a set of Ferrari Marnello leather/carbon fibre seats which I would like to fit. |

Todd, Are you saying the existing seat is too narrow? Or are you looking for a narrower seat with more support? If you want a wider seat, try on some Recaros, the bolstering may be more comfortable. I know that over a long drive the 348 seat has pressure points on the typical American posterior that become uncomfortable. Narrower with more support: Recaro's carbon racing seats, or other carbon fiber seats from OMP, Sparco, Cobra, MOMO, etc. Get professional assistance in fitting an alternative seat as this is a primary safety device.
