I took a guy with a Viper for a ride in my F355 yesterday at TWS. The powerband of the F355 motor starts at the redline of the Viper!

Tony TOny Tony....he was staring at you in awe! And your beautiful mug (I'm sure) :-)

While I don't want to talk you into anything you're uncomfortable with, I do want to talk you into something you need to do! :-)

I don't think this Sat is possible, as well as the fact I have no registration. I will be taking care of that next Tue though. I have been cruising around all week and think that's legal while awaiting a registration appt at DMV, although the other nite, a Santa Clara County cop gave me a real good stare last nite.

But I will certainly try and make the next event.

Ok, so both of you NEED to show up for dinner on Saturday. Vincent, also bring your friend with the GT40?

Tony - you must show. Check the SF Piatti's thread.

I will definitely come out for one of the sf bay area rides, just can't make this one coming up.

I'd be happy for others to see what this little tiger is like. I am totally enamored. It's not a good thing.

Tony,

you are going to join us for a drive....right.

the 246 is one of my favorites and I would love a ride.

I know the feeling, keep grinning, go out to the garage once in a while make sure it's still there.

i'm the guy who just purchased a 73 Dino 246. That car is amazingly in two ways... one is it feels like it's idling at 4000 RPM when you are driving down a main street. In other words, just very low engine stress, basically just wants to go there, whatever gear you are in. 4000! My GMC truck would blow apart at 4000 at more than 30 seconds. The other thing is the feeling/sound you get when you mash the pedal down on the freeway on-ramp. For a V-6, it just responds with a fury, a blasting of the pipes, just furiously clawing it's way up to 7500RPM, not in an instant mind you, but you just feel the motor wanting to make you proud, to know that this is more than a car...

Wow. It cannot be put into words.

Richard G, thanks to you and previous owners... you have taken great care of this car. On the fwy at 90mph, it just tracks straight and smooth as if on air... my 2K S500 doesn't feel as good, honestly. What a marvel of craftsmanship.
