several years ago, because I wanted to buy a 288 GTO but really could not part with that much cash, my wife bought me a set of 288 GTO wheels that FAF (at that time) had for sale as a christmas present. I quickly fitted them with the proper tires and replaced my stock 1986 USA TR wheels which looked plain to me. I have had them on ever since and love them. Once in a while a set of those appear in the FML or on EBay...of course they are Ferrari wheels and they look great |

I had the same expierience with Compomotive. Ordered 8x17 and 9x17 with offset zero and they assured it was not a problem. When Ireceived them, delivery time much longer as promised, the front wheels had offset 20 and the rear wheels -20 or something like that, negative offset so sticking out of the car. I had to use my 25mm spacers in the front and then decided I also would use my 12mm spacers in the back and it was the last push I needed for my GTO-lookalike conversion but that's another story. At 1800 Euro the wheels were no that expensive though. |

One company i would NEVER recomend is Compomotive.Had mine come last week after waiting nine weeks, they told me they would be three weeks after i paid thousands up front(18in split rims). They said to me several times they had done them for the 328gts before, they told me this several times. Then i try to fit them and three problems. #1.the wheels stuck out 15 mill from the wheel arch. #2. the origional wheel bolts were far to long anyway. and#3. the front wheel would not seal.Insted of sending them back becourse i did not fancy waiting a further nine weeks, and being it was only the rears i took them along with the nuts to an enginering shop who milled the rear of the wheels and rethreaded and shortend the bolts. And now they fit with about 6 mill of the tyre out from the arch(which looks good)If i could have gone back nine weeks i woul never have chosen Compomotive, i paid top dollor for all this bother. |

I believe Koenig also makes a nice looking set of wheels for the early TR. Check out their website. They offer both 17" and 18" sizes. I also agree with Byron in that wheels for early TRs are VERY expensive. Not that there worth the price, but there aren't many options. I know as I've beat this subject to death in the past. |

Beside Speedline Wheels, does anyone know of any other company that makes wheels that will fit a 1985 Testarossa. SAC Wheels is no longer in business. Thanks for your help. |
