"Martin HAD a 208GT4 for sale!

sold last month. Will be brought to race car spec and raced in Malaysia in 2004."

Who bought it? Raced in Malaysia? Someone has read my mind about using these cheap tax-break cars here, damn!

Malaysia punishes cars with big displacements with higher tax rates, so owning a 6-liter engined Enzo or a 427 cubic inch muscle car here makes no sense. But since it's a left-handed car it won't be allowed to be driven on the road. Makes sense then.

Martin had a 208GT4 without a motor. The car is listed as sold on the website.

Wow, to wring 400 hp out of a 2 liter I guess you'd need to be up around 24-25 psi on the boost. Another option would be to throw in a 308 or 328 crankshaft. A 50-60% increase in displacement will equal a 50-60% increase in hp, then make any boost adjustments. I'm told 24 psi in a 308 equalls 600 hp....I'll let you know in a few weeks :-)

I especially like the 328 varient for some reason. They are neat, and just a little different....

Mitch, I was thinking the same - I'd love to have one as well, just to be different. Its been discussed here before:

http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/18/107.html

You can find them for sale in Italy through these various sites:

http://asm4.autosupermarket.it/action.lasso?-KeyField=ID&-Search=&-DataBase=asm_sql&-Table=DEV&online=1&-MaxRecords=15&-sortField=ID&-SortOrder=descending&-Response=listaASM.lasso&marca=Ferrari&modello=208&-Search=+C+E+R+C+A+

http://www.portaportese.it/ (select "Veicoli", then "Auto Italiane" and select "Ferrari")

http://www.luzzago.com/english/index.asp

http://www.zarattini.com/trova/ff.htm

etc... Do a search on Google: "Ferrari 208 GTB Turbo"

I've actually wanted a 208 Turbo since I saw one at the Cavallino Restaurant in 1989. Damn that would be cool, kinda like a baby GTO? Wonder what they are worth?? Is his for sale?

Went through some of my pictures and found these of my buddies 208 Turbo. He has done numerous mods to it, and is pushing about 350hp. Very cool little car. He also has a supercharged 308GT4, a 512 Boxer, and a Countach with custom intake and electronic fuel injection. He also owns one of the only real Bob Wallace twin turbo Countach motors which he will be installing in the Countach.
