Nick, budget is down around 600 which I didn't think possible for a 550 but the high mile early ones in the uk are selling for aound that. Think there is a bit of a problem with reproducing stuff on the website and copywrite but I'll see what I can do. |

Nick: weight is still a fundamental problem with this car, even with the padding removed. There are technologies in the 360 that would make the 550 worlds better (of course, being 3 years younger and for a different purpose also has to do iwth that). Let's see what the next iteration of the 550 beings (hopefully they'll employ some rather wicked technologies). Maybe it'll be the compromise we want. --Dan |

Exactly what I was thinking while reading the Racecar Engineering article on the Prodrive Machine last night. Regs say you have to keep the same block and heads and they elected to keep crank also and bored it to give 6 litres. Next step for me is to find a high milage (50000+) RHD 550 in my budget. Haven't found one in Hong Kong yet. |

I'd say go with a 575 instead. That would definitely be awesome though. Cheers |

I think that would be awesome! They need a new modern 250 GTO anyway... |

Would it be great if either Ferrari or Prodirve produce a street-useable version of their LM winning 550? I would love to mod my 550 to a tuned-down version of the LM car. It looks great and performs even better. It really releases the full potential of the car. |
