Yes, i got a few shots of that one, as well... The Lamborghini looked great, i just wished it was a little closer to the rope; the orange Murcielago downstairs was pretty nice, too... My 3 favorites were the Enzo (of course), the Infineon and the Bentley... |

Des Yup that where the Yellow Gallardo was as well. Didn't you snap that one as well? I think Andrew who was at the party with me also got a shot of the Gallardo. Best |

Mr. G. - LOL...! Are you referring to the green Bentley racecar...? Definitely a sight to behold... My shots of that car came out almost completely black; i should've adjusted my camera to the lighting... Awesome to see it in the flesh, though... That and the Infineon R8... Damn, i love racecars... |

The front 3/4 view of the Gallardo looks good in that new edgey way. The back view is rather busy but unique. I don't understand the need for side body stickers though. When it comes down to Lambos, I rather have a Countach QV or a Diablo SE30 Jota. |

Eli Ferrari had a dinner at the NY show on the evening before the show opened where they had a group of historic race cars as well as an Enzo and a Stradale. As you walked into the party on the first floor above the escalators a dealer, I believe Manhatten Motor Cars had an exibit with a Murcie, a Gallardo, A Panoz, and the Bentley race car the Speed 8. The Gallardo and the Mercie were yellow. Des got some shots. There was also a yellow Saleen. I thinks there's a shot of it on "The Birds" web page. If you look past the shot of her holding her hands in front of her chest you'll see the display. This display wasn't inside the show. I think Rob Ferreiti may have been involved with it. The Bentley was for me the highlight of the show. Ferrari hosts this party every year and it's well worth attending. You can walk through the whole show with a few friends almost by yourself. I highly reccomend it. Best |

Faisal, I prefer to get the car from Lambo UK themselves, if for only the warranty. I've found another one at another dealer, similar price range, doesn't have the warranty though . In Orange again, with better interior. I think the pic you had there is of a pre 6.0 model? I prefer the 6 litre Diablo, seems much better made, not far off the Murcielago. Taek, By the way, when I said the 4WD hinders, I meant on the Murcielago. Too much grip and weight for the little clutch to handle, so bye bye clutch if you try a standing start. No doubt there would be a benefit for the Murcielago at rolling speeds. That said, the X50 is the smaller more manageable car, its narrower so overtaking on country roads would be less heart in your pants!! Oh, and I also do as you do Taek, just guess what everyone is saying, hate using the scroll bars! |

Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Porsche are the only cars that matter in the exotic sports car issue, but no one can deny that porsche gives a lot more of everything for less money, the cars may not have the exotic lines but the top of the line porsche is a ferrari and lamborghini butt kicker. By the way its so stupid every time someone says "I would choose a murcielago over a gallardo" or "I would take a mclaren f1 over your 360", dont compare apple with oranges, remember to keep it around the same $$$ range. |

Hey, I love those cartoons!!!! When I was a kid, I really wondered why people did not step away from the box/crashing plane/whatever at the very last second. I thought you could let it smash itself to smithereens while you delicately hopped off when it was two feet above ground level. Of course, your timing would have to be exquisite, but I was sure I could manage it! |

Faisal, I was actually picturing a cartoon where they push off the anvil first and Wile E. Coyote follows suit. Just color commentary. Point is, the Murcielago is FAAAAST. Cheers |

Taek, you'd accelerate the same, with or without an anvil. 9.8 metres per second squared. |

I thought you'd catch that. I too have driven both. The Murcielago pulls like you would not believe. Feels like someone shoved you off an airplane with an anvil tied around your neck. It has a healthy kick in the ass. The hardest part of accelerating in a Murcielago is traction. Brutal. Also, roll on speed...forget it. Goodbye Porsche. People tend to forget the acceleration speeds that matter. 40-80mph, etc. Cheers |

Taek, you look at the slowest road test out there. How about Motor Trend which achieved 0-100 in 8.3 seconds? Ive driven both, the Murcielago is faster. Ive beaten X-50's in my Diablo several times, they have a great launch, but from a roll, 5mph on, easy kill. |

Not to beat a dead horse, but IMO: 360/Eclipse = Gal'/Celica Luke.

Allan, According to Road and Track, the Murcielago did the 0-100 sprint in 9.1 seconds. The Turbo did it in 8.8. The Murcielago did 0-100-0 in 14.2. The Turbo achieved it in 13.5. I love the Murcielago, but I'm afraid that in higher speeds the Turbo edges out the Murcielago. Eli, The Murcielago does pull a lot stronger than the Turbo throughout the gear. It's a more even power delivery. Also, the Turbo also puts power on all 4 wheels. This actually helps in the launch, not hurt it. Cheers |

I have two very reputable Lambo dealers in and around London for you, if you are interested. One of them had a beautiful orange Lambo last summer. Dunno if it's still there. http://tvrfreak.com/Albums/Trips/2002%2008%2004%20England%20Eddie%27s%20Cerbera%2C%20Modena%20Motors/DSC03525.JPG |

Quote: "Murcielago cant keep pace with an X-50 in a straightline? lol" Yep. You read that right mate. Err, there are plenty of documented events that prove this, together with seeing such a thing. Even on a straight race track, the X50 achieved the higher top speed. Lambo couldn't keep up. I think the real world BHP/tonne is better on the Porsche(remember half a tonne lighter than Murci), plus the 4WD of the Murcielago hinders the start. Murci might pull back after 160 or so, but will need a long track (or road) to line up again, let alone overtake. Don't go telling me the Murci pulls sub 9 seconds 0-100mph? BTW, I want to get the Murci, after I get the Diablo 6.0 (don't like any of the earlier ones, but would have liked 2WD). Unfortunately Lambo dealer has sold the Orange one I was going to buy, just the day before I went in to sort out a deal boo hoo!... (Guys, don't take the piss the Orange actually looks good in the flesh!!). Can't lie to ourselves though can we? I don't care that the X50 is quicker, but it is, no matter how you or I feel about it. I think its fair to say the X50 is the best performance car overall. Ignore the fact that the styling etc. might not be to your taste or that it doesn't feel "special". What it does on the road, and the fact that it does it day in day out without a fuss makes it a remarkable vehicle. |
