I think they're those Ferrari shields that only the competition cars had on the front fenders just ahead of the doors. IE nothing much after the Group 4 Daytonas in circa '72 should have them. OK, maybe the 333s and the odd F40LM or Michelotti 308. But every man and his dog these days sticks them on anything for reasons I am at a loss to explain.

James G would be the man to ask, his vehicle would have actually earned them in some epic battles of days past.

It id the official logo of the racing team as the for raod cars the factory used the rectangular logo.

This has changed in recent years and the "shield" or "scudetto" logos are now also available as an official option on current cars.
