Ken The only thing I can think of is to contact the DMV of the state where the car was registered. Sorry, sometimes have a chassis number is not so cool Matt

Matt: Is there any way to obtain the registration history of a car older than 1980? While Carfax may not be perfect, it has saved my butt several times. Ken |

I am trying to do a carfax for a 1975 308GT4, however, the vin does not have the required 18 digits for Carfax. How does one run a Carfax for an early pre 1978 car with less than 18 digits for a VIN? Ken
