while you're at it, see if you can find any 'piles' of $$ lying around...got a feelin' that Saddam has a 'few' more $$ stashed out there somewheres :-)

Find ENOUGH of the $$ and you MIGHT be able to afford long term maintenance on your new Fcar...

Thank you all for wishing me luck. Hopefully I won't need it, but you can never be sure :-) I'm told I'll be working for Mr. Bremer and his staff, so hopefully I'll be relatively safe on the compound. I'm taking my Ferrari pictures with me to remind me of what I've got home waiting for me.

Take care,

Jesse

Ditto here Jesse, God speed and good luck. And to echo Bill Hart's comments, pls fill us in on what's really going on if you can. It's always been my experience that reality is much different from TV.

Take care.

Jesse, good luck. I heard Saddam's son Udey?? has tons of car collection.

Perhaps you can find out where they were and can bring them in to the US and donate each of them to Ferrari Chat active member.

Put my name as the first on the list for either 250 GTO or an ENZO. If one of two you could not find it, F50 works for me. Good luck, Shelbee :-)

Yes, thank you. Know that there are a huge number of people supporting you there, and that you have much to look forward to. In the meantime, learn everything and keep your armor on!

Have a safe trip and stay well. Maybe you will find an abandonned Ferrari in one of the Presidential garages. If so, you have our permission to take it out for a spin!

Jesse,
If you get a chance to do some touring, be sure to see the hanging gardens of Babylon. The other places (Najaf and Kerbala) are very Islamic/Shiite in nature, so probably best to give them a miss these days. Let us know what it's like. Be safe.
Best,
Faisal.

...for now :-)

I am finally leaving Kosovo after 27 months (37 months in Germany prior to this). I am moving to Baghdad next week and will be packing up my computer in the next couple days. I don't know how the internet connection is in Iraq, but hopefully (praying actually) that I can view this website there. I will be working at the Presidential Palace and hope to send you all some cool pictures later on. But mainly I wanted to say thank you for all the help and information I've received from users here on this board! I purchased a 1981 Ferrari 308 GTS in December and have had some fixes and additions done (via phone) from here in Kosovo, but unfortunately have not been home to drive it yet and probably won't until next year :-( I'd also like to say "Thank You!" to Brian Stewart of Autocar Sports and Classics outside Speedway in Indianapolis...without his help my 308 would not be running at all! He's THE MAN when it comes to fixing Ferraris in Indiana! Again, thank you ALL for making this website such a helpful and enjoyable experience!!!

"Wish me luck, I'm going in!"

Take care and be safe,

Jesse
