Factory idle (service manual) for an F355 is 1040 RPMs to 1060 RPMs.

Given a touch of tachometer error and 1100 is probably right on.

I just checked my PDF manual (which you can download from owners.ferrari.com) and did a search for "idle" and "revolutions" and no guidance on the official speeds. My car warms up at a little over 1000 rpm, so 1100 seems about right there, but it then does drop back to below 1000. It does seem to vary dependent on how hot the engine is though, I think it idles higher when the engine is very hot (I assume to keep flow through the radiators?).

Your dealer/mechanic should be able to adjust the idle to be at 800-950. 1100 when warm sounds high to me, but I don't know the spec for the 360.

In your garage, you can put large sacks of silica gel stuff near your car to absorb moisture. That might cut down on the condensation within your exhaust.

And the clear 3M protective adhesive stuff should help. You can get lots cheaply at dirt bike stores.

Nice car.

Bill- the drippings will continue. I do not know of a good way to deal with them, other than possibly strips of the 3m film normally used to protect paint from rock chips on the front of cars? (hey, it's worth a shot :-)

No idea on the idle, I only wish I owned a 360, enjoy!!

Best!
Ben.

The owners manual should specify the cold and warm idle speeds...

I have been enjoying my new 360 Modena and still can't believe I have a Ferrari. My car idles at about 1100 rpms even after warm up and I am not sure if this is normal or abnormally high. Also, during warmup the exhaust drips sooty water onto the lowest painted surfaces of the bumper and it doesn't come off easily. Is this just a breakin period issue or something that to some degree is always a nuisance?
Thanks, Bill
