I've little doubt its a fake, but it still gives one a good idea of what the new car will look like with flesh based on the drawings.

I stand by my P 996 remark - the screen/front window is def. P 911 Carrera.

Here is further photoshop evidence... compare the front bumper cover seam where it meets the fenderand the cutline behind the wheelarch. Lets not let some 14 year old kid sitting behind his Dad's MAC dupe us!

ok.. im no sergio.. but the 456 is one of my all-time fave car design... ferrari or otherwise... i must say i dont like where its replacement is heading... the mid-front engine sounds intruiging from an engineering standpoint - i believe Mercedes is heading down that road with a car as well - but the elongated front is a little much (i know.. thats coming from someone that loves the Daytona as well.. but this is a little much..)

since they are not going to give that up one has work around it .. so i gave it a shot...

Upload

the side vent remains but i thought the rear haunches needed a more 575 treatment and the front fascia needed cleaned up... although i think i ended up in Aston Martin territory a little...

The lines look rather harsh and raw.

I've heard that the US dealers are in Italy this week to view the new car in person?

I like it. It looks modern and says 'Ferrari'. I'd just make the door indentation have a real scoop at the back as it seems to serve no purpose as it is. I like the Ferrari philosophy of form following function. That indentation is needless turbulence unless it would duct air into a scoop. Let Lambo put form first.

Looks like Carrera GT meets Infiniti G35 meets Hyundai Tiburon.

It's too early to tell on these "artists renderings"... we'll see how true to the original concept the actual design is!

With that said, however, I do think the new 460GT will definitely be one to be reckoned with. The 2+2 accomodations and performance numbers are a hard combination to match! I'm waiting anxiously to see the new car after it rolls off the line in Maranello.

It's a tough act to follow. The 456 was one of the best looking F-cars of all time. Not digging the Z4 styling cues.

Ken, did you get my email last week?

Interesting photoshop. I don't know what to think just yet. I kinda like how the side treatment resembles the original TR (57ish?), headlights remind me of the P4 and the nose/front bumper reminds me of a 250GT Lusso. That edge to the sides of the front grille look strange to me. Am I crazy or do those headlights look like they were lifted from the Carrera GT???

Ferrari, if you're listening.... a sub 3500Lbs. 575/550/456 replacement would be nice. I'd take a 500Lbs. weight reduction over 30-40 horsepower anyday!

I'm gonna wait for the final version. I liked the sketches better, the headlight humps are more pronounced on this version.

Reminds me of the Ascari ZR1 (which has elements of the 360) mixed with BMW's new side-panel styling. Most notably the Z4. It also has tinges of Porsche in it's rear to front sweep ending in that bonnet style.

I don't care for it so far, but then again you can't tell much from photographs.
