Funny, I never even thought of it that way! 15 years of work for a 1/3 scale car. I think I would have gone with the 1:1 as well. Although there was probably a sense that a full scale replica would be just that--a replica--and therefore much less unique.

One thing I cannot understand, is if you were to go to all this effort, wouldn't you make one at 1:1 scale so you could enjoy the end results :-). Man I would.

Normally this would be a "collectibles" thread, but you've got to check out the video of this model and its builder. This is from the story in this week's AutoWeek, and this guy definitely qualifies as being obsessed!
