Dr. Erik, those taillights are from a 1971-1975 Opel Manta. I know because I once installed them on my Alfa Sprint to make it look like a Ferrari (when I was young :-) )

We can't figure out what the deal is on the car. The rear end is original, and shows up as that configuration in the 1985 DOT paperwork. I've asked Ferrari (along with Keith Bluemel's help), but they told me to bug Pininfarina (Italian organization skills at their best). I know of two others with this configuration. One in the Netherlands and one in the UK. I've been told that the one in Holland was updated (but not confirmed by Ferrari), but no word on the one in the UK. John Apen did the insurance apprasial for me when I first got the car in 1997. He told me that it looks original. The others are 19453 (burgandy/tan) and 18919. So mine is still the earliest of the 3.

Its nice having a potential one off V12 Ferrari...

I must have misspoken:
The doors that lead out of the garage!

Code Enforcement would get a heart attack if I paint my garage doors red.

Martin, do you have a picture of this door? Hard to picture a red garage door :-)

...of the garage? I have an image of a propellor roundel tatooed on your wife's side. Would make for interesting trips to the beach :-)

I wanted to make sure not to leave her out so I painted a BMW logo on her side.

:-)

I painted my garage doors from the inside red and did it in a hurry so the wife would not get me to stop before I was done. She came out and LOVED it!!

hey, Dr. Erik, the few photos i've seen of 365GT4 autos all had 6 tail lights(3 on each side), what gives w/your wheels? Thought at first glance that was a 400 with no rear badge in your(nice) garage, but your profile shows a 365GT4...did Ferrari change the lighting setup midstream?

Have always liked the 365/400/412 styling, one o' these days, maybe...one o' these days... :-)

She knows. I had permission. The couch is comfortable, but not great, so it was still worth asking. The scary thing is that my dad likes it and he thinks I'm nuts...

The better half is gone for the weekend. A copy of the dealer handbook page with the paint scheme, $250, and a trip to Home Depot. This is what happens...
