30 day warranty? I purchased used lanwmowers with a better warranty. I suppose it's better than nothing. |

Chris, I just let a 96 GTS go on friday after the private owner and I couldn't agree who should pay the $7,500 Belt service that the car needed. Just curios...how much is the car..I would like to know if I let go too easily..(most people say I was paying top dollar). e-mail me in confidence..I would appreciate it. Mario P.S. Have someone else do the PPI. I had Ferrari of Los Gatos do it...they actually did a very good job and played neutral when they said the car needed a major service to be a 10.

The aftermarket radio doesn't mean anything in terms of value. Almost everyone replaces the factory units. I would also ask FOW to certify the car for the Powertrain Plus Warranty. This takes about 4 or 5 hours and the car must pass a very rigid series of tests. One this is done, you will have a one year warranty that covers the engine, transmission (not the clutch) ABS system, ECU, air conditioning, etc. I purchased it for my car. Most dealers charge $1500 for it. The cost to the dealer is $1,000 which they send to FNA and the cost for the 4 or 5 hours of labor, so they really don't make money on the program. |

Definately have an independant repair shop do the P.P.I. I would never have a p.p.i. done at a dealer as I would be afraid of a conflict of interest. I would also work for a longer warranty than 30days. Best of luck. |

you wouldn't want FOW doing a PPI for a car they're selling you. my advice - do the PPI. find an independent near the car. have them do a thorough job. if there's stuff beyond the 30K that needs to be done, they'll probably find it and then you know the score when you negotiate a final price. fwiw, when i do a PPI i tell the guys that they will NOT be getting any of the repair business - i just want a thorough PPI with no potential conflicts of interest. doody. |

I had FOW do one for me recently...was not too impressed with the quality of the effort by their review. Drop me a email. |

Ferrari of Washington located a F355 for me. It's a 98 GTS red / black w/ approx 13k miles.( See attached pics ). It's due for a major service which will be included in the price as well as a tubi exhaust. My question is will a major service find any gremlins that may be lurking and replace them? Or is it a good idea to have a PPI done as well. The car also comes w/ a 30 day warranty. One thing that concerned me was the installation of an aftermarket radio. (The owner still has the original.)
