The new 456 replacement is tipped to have the Enzo's engine, producing over 600 bhp. It will go from 0-100 in about 4.0 secs. Available either in manual, automatic, or F1. |

From someone who is passively shopping for a 456, what is the problem with the windows? |

Malcolm: this is about $12000 worth of work in the US,not many buyers I would guess. If the windows are ajusted once a year or so, they are pretty good. Sad state of affairs though. |

There is a fix which resolves about 95% of the 456 window problems - it means about a weeks work and purchasing a "kit" from Ferrari (part number 70000878) which includes all modified seals and new window regulators, price of the parts $1740 and are in stock at Ferrari UK Cheers |

There are talks to the effect that the window problem is not "fixable". Do not know whether or not it is true. |

My 456M has the same apparant window problem that my '95 had, so I think the fix was not in. I waited patiently for my turn at the servicing dealer untill the program was "completed" in nov.before mine was fixed. Dealer was not able to talk FNA into fixing mine after the program was completed. So, they fixed some cars and declined to fix others... |

I think the fix was already in before the M's were shipped.

At what point was the window fix implemented on new cars at the factory? Are the 456M's cursed with the problem or was the fix already in before the M's were shipped? Also, can anyone confirm if the front passenger leg room was increased from the 456 to the 456M?
