Just get a lot of Speed Racer episodes and watch those instead of movies. The Mach 5 is a classy car, Racer X is all mysterious, the monkey is funny, and the girl is hot... What more could you ask for in a show? I still like the scene with the the 355 and the DB5 in Goldeneye more than just about any other chase scene. |

You guys are forgetting about "Vanishing Point". The greatest chase and Drive-In Theater movie ever made. |

I just saw Driven on DVD. I will drive this right back to Blockbusted. What the hell happened? The CGI was really bad, made the cars look too much like scenes from a video game. A bit too much on the crashes, eh? Thank God they used CART instead F1. If anyone got enjoyment from this film, here is my crappy car movie list top 5. 1.Cannonball Run 2 2.Stroker Ace 3.Speedzone! 4.Corvette Summer 5.Smokey & the Bandit 3 |

LeMans is great - I'm a huge McQueen fan (I used to watch the 14 minute chase scene in Bullitt while eating breakfast every day for a month), but in terms of racing "films" my favorite is still Grand Prix. Frankenheimer again! Bob Bondurant trained all the drivers and did much of the driving in the film. He said the star James Garner was a natural. As a film, it's much more watchable than LeMans which is more for purists, but tearfully boring to those who don't appreciate all that goes into real racing. I still have yet to see any film that can top these driving films, but have yet to see Paul Newman's "Winning". Anyone seen that? Also curious if anyone's seen Rendezvous? Sounds great, but the price for something that brief... |

That blonde in Death Race 2000 was pretty hot. I like that movie! Its so bad, that you just have to laugh at it. Speedvision has aired it a couple of times already. |

I still think of Death Race 2000 every time I see Stallone behind the wheel of something. Duh...Yo! LOL!!! I need to see this but I'll be going the IRL race @ Texas Motor Speedway. |

I felt "Gone in 60 seconds wasn't too bad, at least it had a had a plot and kept your interest. |

I bet Bernie was so thrilled he never alowed them to use F1 as the backdrop. The movie was just the worst. How many times can you show "Suzuka" in Japan, het all of the shots in the stands show signs in english. My brother and I saw it in the theater, and the only reason we did not leave, was we felt violated over the $8.50 we each spent, or maybe it was that we still had popcorn left in the barrel? Regardless, I have LeMans on LD ( untill it comes out on DVD ) and I still watch it every qtr. Just the best. If you do want to see a great movie with great car scenes watch Gone in 60 Seconds ( Just a joke )actualy watch Ronin and if you have it on DVD watch the car scenes with Frankinhiemers comments on to hear how they did the driving, just great. |

It wasn't what it could have been, too many silly accidents & flying cars & other silliness. I doubt any1 will ever top LeMans, Stallone sure has a LONG way to go |

Jerry, I looked at the CD and read the promotion material on the box. It "REAKED" of a baddddddd film. I didn't even bother. A lot of junk films out there now. Thanks for confirming that I was correct. Magoo |

I made the unfortunate mistake of renting another Stallone "B" movie. It was under the guise of an appealing fast paced story about indy racing but instead turned out to be a "laugh out loud at the absurdity" piece of crap. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, you can better spend 2 hours painting a fence or faining an interest in what your wife is watching on HGTV. The best part was when they were driving 195 through the streets of Chicago. Or no, no, no, it was when Stallone imbedded three quarters into his rear tires at full speed without running over them with his fronts. Damnit it wasn't that either- it was the general highly predictable "ya, kick ass!" type flick that the booger eaters flock to. It should have been about Nascar, then it would have been a bit more appropriate. I had to literally force myself to keep it on until the end by telling myself that it has to get better....it didn't. Other than that I loved it. |
