For some reason chrome wheels on 328's just dont look good at all.It seems like it unbalances the look of the car, drawing too much attention to the wheels.Doesn't look as timeless as it does with stock wheels |

A lot of Ferarri road cars came with chrome wheels in the 1950s and 1960s albeit wire Borranis . |

They're magnesium. I did it when I was changing tires so I could them done in their entirety. I used PPG I think. My uncle owns a shop so we just matched it up by eye with the samples and it came out great. It's a silver base with a touch of green in it surprisingly. |

I agree with you Ernesto, the chrome on the wheels looks terrible. I think I am going to have them blasted like Bret mentioned and repaint them. Bret, do you know who sells the paint for the wheels. Also, are the wheels made of aluminum or magnesium. |

You could remove the chrome and have them repainted w/clear coat too for about $250 I would say. I can't remember for sure, but I think it was like $100 to have them walnut shell blasted and then like $125 to have them all repainted, including the spare (it had the tire on though so no blasting for it). |

Congrats on the purchase! You will really enjoy that car. 1989 wheels did not come chromed, so the previous owner must have had it done. The chrome can be removed, but it would probably be easier to find someone with the convex rims and trade them for the chrome ones. As far as I know, the 88.5 and 89 convex rims will not fit any other car except perhaps for the Mondial. The offset is really strange to clear the "improved" ABS caliper. Mike |

I just picked up my 89 328GTSI yesterday and the car came with 17" HRE Wheels. They also gave me the original wheels, but they were chrome. Did these wheels come chrome or did the previous owner have them chrome. Can the Chrome be removed safely. Also, will these wheels fit my 84 Euro 308 GTSI |
