they went into a big explanation about where the 0-100-0 test originated in the article didn't they? since it is just a test of raw hp and brakes it really doesn't cover much of anything though. |

i think stopping distance (100-0) is rather important ...thus the whole 0-100-0 seems important as well. |

0-100-0 is something you compute in an aircraft to find out at what speed you have to either fly or run off the end of the runway. R&T has lots of for-entertainment-only tests. The only really good test of a car's acceleration, cornering, and braking capabilities over a variety of conditions with a number of drivers ... ... is racing.

both way too heavy for me to understand why they exist ie. if comfort is issue get a regular 500sl or 996tt or lexus where as if sport is issue get a 360sc or gt3 |

Experiences with an SL55 vs 550 suggest that the performance is just about dead-even in regular road conditions. That thing does have colossal braks, though! --Dan |
