Tom, the only reason I say it's his 'beater' is because thats exactly what he does with his; beat it up. It's basically the car that he drives everywhere and doesn't really give a damn if anything happens. No disrespect to the vehicle itself, or of course, I would not be looking for one. Just a few of his non-beaters include a 550 and a beautiful S7. Thanks for the info. on the 87-88 models.
Norm, expect an email heading your way soon.

Christopher,
I have a beautiful '84 Mondial Cabriolet for sale.
Rossa corsa with tan interior and new black top. USA model car that just turned 31,000 miles. Has had recent major service, new clutch, new water pump, fresh heads, and more. Former national award winner, that I would put up against any in the country. Car is priced to sell, if interested send an e-mail.

Christopher,
I would stick with the 87-88 Mondial. 86 was the first year for the 3.2 engine and had some issues as well as getting stuck with the dreaded metric - sized wheels and the resulting very limited tire choices. 89 saw the introduction of the 3.4, new engine / transaxle configuration and computerized suspension. Big additional cost and complexity. By the way, are you calling the Mondial a "beater" because your friend's is in sorry shape or because you consider the Mondial a lesser Ferrari ? I just want to know if I need to call you out ? :-)

Preferably Rosa Corsa/Tan or Nerro Black/Tan. But anything will do I suppose. I also like Manfred's Mondial at http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/18/230315.html?1051350628.

Beater..hahaha cute my old friend. Seriously though, a low mileage would be mid 30s..while a 25-35k mile car would be I guess around the mid 20s...others on this site could tell u more...a little more info would be nice...which color combination are you looking for?

Someone else here might have or know someone who has the car for sale....

I was at a friends house and he had just purchased a "beater". The beater being a 1987 3.2 Mondial. I took it for a ride and was pleased with it. I love my 328 but I could definatley use a nice four seater for our little one on the way. If you know where I can start looking for one with low mileage, please post. Thanks.
