Thanks. I didn't shoot the raw video, it was done by someone from a CBS affilliate who had come down to shoot footage to be incorporated into a pilot for a new series, "Full Throttle TV". He sent me some of the raw footage in mpeg format so I could see it (and play with it) and share it with the participants. The CBS folks are still writing the final scripting and editing for the pilot episode, but I'm looking forward to seeing that.

By the way, that's me in the red 308 leading the pack, and in the one-car "overhead" shots made from their moving camera van.

Oh man, Mike, we got so much to talk about when I come to Huntsville. Currently terribly busy with Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, Ulead and some other products. Editing a feature film. Anyway, a bit OT, but I'm no big fan of Adobe, too complex of a user interface. I use it only for certain things (as a plug in base for Boris FX for special effects) and Adobe After Effects pro for some more special stuff. Ulead is cool, but my bread and butter app is Studio DV 8. Yes, I know, very simple and very basic, but for all your standard stuff, excellent. Then go to the more complex apps for the delicate things.

BTW: I could bring some of this to Huntsville if you like to see a demo.

PS: One of the main reasons I'm under a lot of pressure right now is, that I have to finish my film for Huntsville, planning on giving it a 'world' premiere there. Maybe you should come too?

I used Video Studio 7 from www.ULead.com

Of course "Adobe Premier" would be the ideal choice, but it's hard to justify the extra expense for just an occasional use.

What software did you use to do the video editing?

It is amazing at how different each of the F-cars exhaust notes are? First time I've ever been able to see/hear that many different F-cars together. Great Work Mike!! Beautiful group of cars!

The red Ford just happened to merge in when a few of our group lagged behind. I wish I could edit it out without dropping the Ferraris. Actually I *could* edit it out if I did it frame-by-frame... but this isn't a high-budget production! :-)

Did that red Ford Probe turn around and join you, or was that a coincidence on those two clips?

Nice vid, thanks for posting it

Thanks, that's the first time I've ever tried video editing. It was interesting to put the various clips together in a good sequence and then integrate a soundtrack with it that wouldn't detract from the engine sounds included with several of the video clips.

This link was posted in one of the local sections, though not local to me. It's a cool video from an FCA event drive Mike Charness put together.
