Mondial 8's seem to me a losers game unless someone else has already done the work. I wouldn't touch a car on jackstands with issues. You'll buy it and love it, and spend way too much on it. Who wants a $25k Mondial 8?? You could get Martin's QV Cabriolet for that, and if you find you made a mistake sell it for what you paid. |

If it's the one on Ebay, it's a Euro and it looks pretty trashed in the pics. What else doesn't work...A/C, radio, clutch, various electrical accessories? You could spend $10K making it right. If you don't pay more than $10K, you might have a nice driver worth your investment. |

If it's an 82, it would have to be a coupe, yes? The vert didn't show up until the QV engine in 83, as I recall. |

If everything else looks OK and you really want a Mondial, I'd offer well under 10K tops. It could be easy, but it could also be very pricy and the 82 Mondial is not a high-priced car right now. After all, you really gotta wonder why the seller isn't bothering to fix the problem, if it is indeed minor. |
