Mario,
Very cool. I had a 355 before the 360, fun car . Very raw, intense. I see from your profile your from Sac , I was just up there a week ago. My buddy is a EMT in the Garden Valley area near Coloma. Love those roads and the local PoPo , he cuts me a little slack.

Enjoy the car.

Drive it like a rental.

Mario,
Congrats on the car - she is a beauty. I'm up in the bay area (San Mateo) during the week... I would definitely like to check out your car sometime!!

The Nor Cal dinners are great... had a chance to meet the guys at Piatti's last time... make sure you bring the 355 the next time Norman/Dan and Co. decide to have another shindig.

Mario,

My Dad was the first person to ride in my F355 after I bought it from Ferrari of Dallas.

My father died a few months later, I know it sounds silly, but I have never considered selling that car...

I think our fathers are enjoying the ride!

Adrian,

Nice to hear your father sounded like mine.

Ricky,

Didn't I talk to you about buying your car? I think I did.

Eric,

The pictures turned out decent...my wife took them!

Sam,

I'm proof that a dream that started at the age of 5 can come true 25+ years later. All I had to do is stop practicing law!!!!! Don't let me kick you over the edge. : )

Congrats Mario! Sorry to hear about your father. My father supported my business ventures in spirit, always encouraging me, telling me I could succeed. Today I live a dream largely because of him.
Enjoy your success and the car!

Martin, I'm just glad you upsold Mario by two F-models! The 355 is a GREAT car
(even compared to a 328 :-)). Actually it worked out perfectly because I decided
to hang on to mine. :-)

Martin,

Nice recovery to Bob.

I just got back from putting 42 miles on it. Started out this morning at 9:00 a.m. and went to a GM sponsored ride and drive. (The event was terrible)

I did however enjoy driving the Ferrari by the Corvette test course. The entire event paused as they listened to 6,000 RPM and a TUBI!

oups, sorry Bob but Mario lives in friggn central CA and its VERY hot out there. The 328 AC would have melted the 200+Hp down to 20HP and still not have cooled him donw. His wife would have been pissed and Mario would no longer be driving a Ferrari.

Ah, it is great to have a loving wife that understands but once she sweats in your car its OVER!!!

Martin,

Even with your wife's recommendations...Cristin said she didn't want the first Ferrari to look like a banana...

I said it would be the best looking banana ever made...you know the story.

M

P.S. I'm still learning this posting stuff...hell it took me 1.5 hours to upload 4 freakin pictures. I read over Rob's how to and everything and it still took this long!

Mario, sorry your Dad passed before he saw you reach your dream.
You're right, he's looking down on you with a big smile. My Dad had
one ride in my car.

There is no better day than the day your very first F-car rolls off
the transporter. Nice job Martin. Congrats and enjoy!

The wait is over and the patience, long hours, and $ spent on PPI's has produced my first Ferrari.

Hopefully, this writing will convey my sincerest thank you's to all of you but the biggest thank you goes to Martin at Cavallino.

Martin, THANK YOU....after all it is your fault that I didn't buy a 328...a 348...but a 355. My countless questions were always answered with completeness and a level head, eventhough I wanted to make emotional dedcisions. My wife has finally stopped asking me "what did Martin say?".

Thank you to the F-chat community who helped with answering questions and offering candid opinions.

(THIS FEELS LIKE AN ACADEMY AWARD CEROMONY)

A special thanks to Kelly Brown at Ron Tonkin - Gran Turismo Ferrari...I can't believe your PPI included where rock chips were! Thanks for being my eyes.

Onward to the fun part...here it is:
1995 Ferrari F355B
Tubi
Challenge Grill
Major 30K Done
Clutch Done
Valve Guides Done
Paid for Done.

Regrets:
Some of you know that I was intent on getting this car before Concorse di Italiano...and some of you know I was trying to get one (time wise) to get that dream ride with my father and I. My father died July 5, 2003 at the age of 64....he never got to ride with me....but he's riding in spirit! I love you Dad...RIP....
