For those out there who may be interested, there is a 1988 Countach 5000 QV for sale here in Vancouver. A euro car with carbs (but I've seen this car in person and it has all of the emissions stuff in the engine), in a beautiful metallic blue with blue leather interior, rear wing, for $169900 Cdn. Pricey, but this car is beautiful. They have this price tag, but in many of their ads they've posted: "make offer". See it at:

(Just because its for sale at a Corvette shop doesn't mean it's a kit car! These guys have had a few exotic cars for sale before [Ferrari TR, Lotus Europa, etc...])

I would agree that Lambos r more labour intensive. I would suggest u buy a car that is already "debugged" from Al Burntoni at Milano Imports in Gilroy, CA. He is probably the best Ferrari mechanic outside of Santa Agata.

The Countach has electrical problems cus Lambo stuck too many things on too few relays, I've blown lots of $500 distributor caps, but that may have been part of the electrical problem. & if u like working on your own car, STAY AWAY, unless u r a contorionist with long arms like spaghetti.
Also she has a hunger for clutches & eats them every 5,000 miles at which point u have to take the 1,100 # engine out the TOP, which can either b 1)quite entertaining 2) really annoying 3) downright dangerous

I think its a beautiful car & mine is finally debugged but it took a while getting it that way.

Just like a Ferrari, only worse, the cost may b low now, but dont ever forget about the maintenance

William,

I'd like to know more about Countach ownership too. My Ferrari dealer said that they require way more maintenance than a v12 Ferrari of the same vintage.

How long have you had the Countach? I have always wanted one, and now that I have the ability to buy one I have been thinking are they as usable as...say...a 308? When I say that I mean, can I hop in it 2 or 3 times a week and drive it hard for an hour and take it home? Have you had any major issues with it? Recurring problems? I want a 5000 S Quattrovalve with all those carbs and no wing. The pics of your black Countach and that incredible silver one made me drool.

The Pagani belongs to Benny Caiola from the NE region FCA. It was at the Pocono Ferrari-Lambo-Pantera meet. He has A LOT of other cars, F40LM,F40GTE, 333SP, 550 Barchetta,512TR,F50 etc. :)

Nice shots William. Was wondering when the Pagani was at the track. I want to see one in person so bad. I was supposed to tour the factory this past year but had to postpone at the last minute.
