Tom, search the archives, there must be at least a dozen threads on this as it comes up every two or three months.

I had them on my previous 308, and the concensus was 4 to 1 of approval. I have chosen NOT to do it on my 328...but may eventually. Do what you like and don't worry about it...

Have one on mine just bec. I love the way it looks. To say the badge is just to tell others
that "I'm driving a Ferrari" is not entirely valid. The 328 or 308 is one of the most easily recognized street Ferrari's. I think the car itself is more recognizable as a Ferrari than a logo of a prancing horse with the letters "S" and "F" under it. People often ask me what those letters stand for.

Cheers!

It's your car. Do what you want with it.

I don't like shields on the regular production models and will not buy one with the recessed, non-removeable ones. However, on the limited supercars, I'd have no choice but to accept them.

Since you asked, I don't care for them. But, if you like them its not like you're putting on a vinyl roof or something along those lines.

since you asked..

To me they are akin to a "Powered by Honda" or "TRD Racing" or something of the sort on a Japanese hot rod -- silly and redundant. Plus they totally distract form the lines of the car.

Do you love the way the look? If not, what's your motivation?

Luke.

Ahh, the shield issue...
Well at one time they were reserved for Ferrari race cars,
but now they are being used as a marketing tool to help sell more street cars.
I say it's your car, do what you like...
My 308 had them stuck on when I bought it, but I took them off... felt that It was kind of a cheap sign that screamed... 'Hey look at me I'm a ferrari"...

Your car, your choice.

As someone sang "You can't please everyone so you got to please yourself."

Tom, IMHO, I like the shields. Not because I sell them but because they make the car look great. If interested, email me at [email protected]

Should Shields be put on a street Ferrari ? I have the magnetic backed ones and sometimes I have them on and sometimes I take them off because i've heard purists make the point that they were originally meant for the race cars only.
Two questions. First, from a style point of view-- do you think they add to the car ? Second, what's your opinion of the racecar vs. non-racecar issue ?

Tom
