I think on the northern route through Texas, Texas makes half of its yearly income on that route. Have never gotten a ticket there, but the V-1 once picked up something like 26 radar traps going through Texas on that route. From Alpharetta, GA (just north of Atlanta) took me something like 2 hours to find I-75 due to bad directions. The Mondial t did not have a power outlet to plug the GPS in and forgot to bring batteries. I-75 and I-24 through Georgia and Tennessee. I-24 through Kentucky to I-57 in Illinois. I-57 to I-64 to I-70 at St. Louis. I70 to I-435 and I-29 at Kansas City. Rain at several points, but rain around here was really bad. No leaks from roof. No fish tailing - car was rock solid in rain that reduced visibality down to about 10 to 20 feet. This with the high speed tires. Other cars pulled over, Mondial kept trucking. I-29 to I-80 in Lincoln, Nebraska. I-80 through Nebraska, tip of Colorado, and Wyoming to Utah.

'normal cruise was 110-120 mph'... WHICH route did you take to get those speeds on a consistent basis? I used to do Texas to Atlanta, no way on any of the routes that one could crank it long term in that speed range. |

The "t's" are great for those long road trips. Way to go! Keep those fluids topped-up. |

Last weekend drove the Mondial t from Atlanta, GA to Salt Lake City. Left Atlanta Saturday morning. Arrived Salt Lake City 4:20 Sunday afternoon. Distance 2,100 miles. Very few cars could have done it in the time frame. Normal cruise was at 110 - 120 mph (was not 100 % sure of the car condition). Rock stable at those speeds. Issues: both myself and car required go-juice. Ferrari should work on the issue of their cars requiring fuel :- ) High speed tires did remarkedly well in monster Kansas City downpour. No issues - surprised me. In Ferrari literature says should get something like 28 mpg at something like 58 mph. In another Ferrari literature says highway mph should be 21.5 mpg. Used whatever high octane was available - varied from 90 to 94 combined octane. At one place only had 89 octane with 10 % Ethnol. Of course using it right away - not allowing it to sit. Car appeared to run fine on all with no apparent changes in sound. With these appeared to get 15 to 17 mpg - have not added everything up yet. At gas stations, got different reactions. Majority of places, no apparent reactions. At some places people would walk around the gas station looking at the car from different angles but would not come over. Other gas stations people came over with friendly questions. Only one place did I get a negative reaction - in Larime, Wyoming 2 college students in an old beat up pick up tried to put it down. However, at the same gas station 2 other people came over with very positive comments. After it is checked out this week, the Mondial t will become a daily driver.
