I am 6-7 240, and my 360 fits perfect. In fact I still have a couple inches to spare for head room. Having said that, my car is a F1, I have not had to work a clutch, but still I do not think It would be a problem. |

I am a size 14 shoe, and when driving any F-car i use the following; Race-soft soled race boots. Simpson makes them in 14. Very comfortable and have lasted a year already. Easy to heel and toe. Casual: a canvas sneaker with a soft sole. Dressy: Gucci and others make excellent driving shoes with reinforced heels. can be worn with a suit. The key is a very flexible sole so you can feel the pedals. |

Jeff; Heel + Toe method of driving. I have size 15 feet and i have to crank my right foot over onto its side to work the gas and breaks in any car. Needless to say i destroy lots of floor mats and shoes, Also my ankles are shot. Rob |

Besides roof height, how do you big guys not have a problem with your feet being too big to work the pedals properly. I wear a size 10 shoe and to me it seems like my 355 was made for someone that wears about a 6. Very poor design IMHO. |

Bill; The main issue here is the physical build of the person in question. I know people that are shorter than myself (6'4") that feel cramped and others that are taller than myself that fit fine in the same vehicle. My former boss was 6'6" and drove a 308 GTS. I also drove it but found it to be cramped mainly around the right knee when the car was in two gear gates closest to myself in the right gate i could drive the car comfortably. My last truck F-150 4X4 the shifter was close to my legs and not the most comforting in 2nd and 4th gears, so i shifted 1,3,5 all the time. I guess what i am saying is try several cars and see what works best for yourself. The option may require a little seat modification to make it work for yourself. Rob

BTW, I`m a mere 6`2" and I`ve Always fit tight in the 308,328,348,and Testarossa with my head practially up against the roof when I was driving. I loved when I had to drive a GTS (just roadtest with the roof off). When the 512TR cam out in 92,I was releaved that My head no longer hit the roof and I haven`t had a problem since with any model up to the 575M. I suppose the factory did make some improvements over the years. Best regards, Jim |

Interesting responses...i see Maranelloman and Solly are both 6'4"..one fits in a 360..the other doesnt...I think its a seat issue....Can you put Sparco seats in a 360M & 550 and not have it look wierd?? Solly mentioned a Dino..i know Symbolic Motors in La Jolla has one...i'll go check it out...Fuiszt mentioned a 330Gt..any special year or configueration?? Also...wouldnt the 550 and 575 have the same headroom dimensions??? THANKS!!! |

You can get some headroom and leg room by removing the seat and back padding for thinner material. A job best left for a leather upholster. Maybe check with someone who can modify the seats for you. If you need I can probably find someone for you. Best regards, Jim

I'm a bit over 6'4", 250 lbs. and have no problem at all in the 360 spider. Plenty of room even with top up. In fact, the Dino has plenty of room too. I could not fit in the 550-too tight. i have standard seats in the 360. Also have a 360 Challenge with lowered Sparco seats and fit with a helmet and roll cage with about an inch to spare. |

I am 6' 4" and I have headroom to spare in my 550, even with the seatback nearly vertical (I like to drive "sitting up" and not reclining like some pimpadelic blingmeister). |

Steve AKA Solly is a pretty big guy & he fits in a 360M. Tim "Jumbo" Elliot of the NFL is a huge guy who wons a 550. the shaq as you said. I think Jumbo had a custom seat or you could do like they do in F1 and just upholster the floor & rear bulkhead. How about a Gurney blister? |

After reading how a tall person can fit into a 360 or 550, and seeing Shaq's video in the 360..I drove over to FofSanDiego and could barely fit in a Modena with factory sport seats. The top of the seat cushion appears to be the same height off the floor as the std seat..about 4". Does anyone know someone who has put "lower" seats in any year Ferrari to accomodate a 6'6" person? And if I could sit in a "modified" Ferrari...i'd be thrilled! Please write or send advice! Thanks! Bill in San Diego 03 M3 SMG (no sunroof!) |
