Henryk,

I tried to reply last night but Rob had the server down for maintenance. I'll get in touch with you later this week. I waiting for more photos of the car. I don't suppose you've got the tools to do a comperssion check? Everyone says this is the most important part of the PPI.

If anyone else knows of a specialist in the GreenBay or Milwaukee area please reply.

Thanks

Sean: I live about 1/2 hour North of Green Bay....I work in Green Bay.

While I wouldn't mind test driving the car for you, it would be better if the owner would come here, since I can put in on a lift, and check the under-carriage for you, besides test driving it.

If not, then I could drive the car for you and assess the overall condition........paint, leather, driving, etc........! NO charge!!!!

What do you think?

Henryk, if all else fails I can give you a call. While not familiar with a 308, I have taken apart engines and rebuilt them, and I maintained and raced a Formula Ford for 4-years so I do have some mechanical skills.

The car is in Green Bay but I am in Kansas City. Green Bay, believe it or not is a $200 ticket 7-day advance from KC.

Thanks for the offer and I'll let you know what happens. Heck, if you've got time maybe you could just take a look at it and test drive it to see if it's worth my time to come up and look? I'd gladly compensate you for your time.

Thanks

Sean: Do you live in the area, to be with the inspection? We can go over the car together.

I have had 3 3X8s, and am rather familiar with them.

Like I said.......if all else fails?

a BB, if only...I wish it was a BB but alas, unless somebody gives me an additional $60,000 to spend I'll have to be happy with a 308 for now.

It's a 1977 308 GTB.

thanks

Sean: Are you referring to a BB or BBi. I live near Green Bay. I am not a mechanic, but I do all my own work on my cars. I have a lift, and am quite familiar with the BBi......not the BB.

I would recommend a true mechanic,.......but if all else fails.........!

Green Bay is closer to the car, but I thought I may have more luck in Milwaukee since it is a larger town.

If anyone can recommend a place please post info. below.

Thanks
