Dennis, For recreational use, motorcyclists use "chatterboxes" that have ear pieces that can attach inside your helmet, with the units attaching outside, against your helmet. Check any major bike magazine or do a search for "Chatterbox". Don't know what the practical application would be for track use, but might work...

So, our little group of Ferrari track car drivers is looking to add car-to-car communications. This will make it easier for us to find each other on the track, not to mention pass along some advice (as well as trash talkin', if needed). We tried using headsets with FRS handhelds, but it was pretty hard to hear (headsets and mics slid into helmets), and range was not great. So, looking for any advice as to systems to consider, as well as good sources for the equipment. Racing Electronics seems to be the dominant player in this game. But we don't need full racing systems. Maybe a headset or ear set plugged into a "real" handset? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! vty, --Dennis
