If you e-mail me I can provide you w/ the name and location of a 25 year Ferrari Factory trained mechanic. He's certainly the best I've found in the valley and has saved me "THOUSANDS". Alot of the "big" shops sub-contract their work to him and /or troubleshoot problems their techs can't figure out, e-mail ----> [email protected] |

I had a 308 inspected there about 3 years ago. They did a good job but the service guy kept telling me to skip the 308 and get the 328. Thats fine but I was working on a budget and was looking to get a QV. He almost scared me away from it but I talked to Mark from FOA and he had good things to say about the 308. I bought the 308 and it has been a great car. Just took it on a nice drive tonight. |

I bought my 348 last year from a pp and had the guy drop it off to Scottsdale Ferrari to do the PPI. They were very detailed and did a great job. Jim Summers let me know everything that was wrong with the vehicle, which were basically minor cosemetics, and a minor cam seal leak. Obviously they recommended a major service which I wound up doing within 6 months. However, I do agree with the conflict of interest |

I've had extensive dealings with them and in particular Gary Simon, the sales head and Jim Summers the service chief. They are now part of Penske's empire but in a previous life they were Cavallino Classics (Jim & Gary were there too). Their service shop is good but not inexpensive, but they have done work on my Dino, 355 and 360, all to my satisfaction. Be advised prices are soft and if the cars are theirs (not consignment) you should negotiate aggresively. Russell Jowett at Scottsdale Lotus is an alternative source for a PPI but he will probably try to sell you something he has. Their Ferrari inventory is usually better than Scottsdale Ferrari. Good Luck and remember a couple of hundred bucks before you buy is better than 10,000 after you buy. |

Fred, I'd agree w/ your conflict of interest perspective. I stopped by Scottsdale Lotus yesterday and although I know nothing about their service department, they did have 4 Ferraris on the showroom floor, including an F40 and a 360C. |

I recently purchased a 355 from Scottsdale Ferrari. I was impressed by both the sales and service department. They took care of the valve guide problem that popped up during a service and did so at no cost to me. I would strongly recommend them. |

Hello, Has anyone done business w/ Scottsdale Ferrari? Are they reputable? They have a car I may be interested in, but when I inquired about a PPI, they indicated that since they were the only authorized F-car dealer, they weren't comfortable w/ me taking the car anywhere else for a PPI. They want me to have it done at their service shop. (conflict of interest in my opinion). Any other reputable places in AZ, near Scottsdale, that I could suggest to them??? Thoughts??? Comments??? |
