"every dyno of a car w/ a dual runner manifold set-up has a similar graph."

And this one seems to come on later than designed.

Does the 550 have secondary buttefly valves in the intake? If so, that would explain the drop in tq, and jump in hp at 6500;every dyno of a car w/ a dual runner manifold set-up has a similar graph.

Did the motor stop at 5700 RPM on the second pull or did the dyno go to sleep?

From the shape of the TQ curve, this looks like a 550 engine. I think this shows an anomoly with the variable intake resonance system. The Tq after 5500 drops faster than expected, then at 6500 it catches back up.

The dyno couldn't handle those high values, and had a coronary.

Seriously, when driving the car do you notice anything odd happening around 6500 ?

I've never taken one of these apart, but it could be the variable intake opening fully. If you had the exhaust gas curves, I could tell you definitively. After all, that's the side of the lump that I earn my living on.

Hmmmmmm....might be some engine management induced spike? Can't imagine it being something physical. That is some serious horsepower there! Very good numbers!

This is another try to upload the results of a dyno test on my car.

Upload

What is the spike at 6500 rpm?
