Isn't Rosso Barchetta a dark red but not metallic? If that's the case, then this 456 would more likely be Rosso Fiorano. |

Dan, sounds awesome, i'm impatiently awaiting the next part... From the pictures posted, i would venture to say that the 456 is Rosso Barchetta (Jean Louis says it really good with the accent and all), much like Tenney's Rosso Barchetta 360... A very awesome color, indeed; looks fabulous on that 456. Mike, Doc - you two are awesome; you made a dream come true for an enthusiast and the two of you should be duly commended. Very cool. Very, very cool. |

I'm not sure if it would be the Barchetta or the Fiorano. It's a beautiful metallic maroon, which looks fabulous, especially with the tan interior. Bill's only had the car for less than a week... luckily he has a 30-day "fix anything you can find that goes wrong" warrantee from the dealer. It developed a very bad miss/surge that morning. The car hadn't been driven much at all in the last couple of years by the previous owner, unfortunately. |

Rob, I have talked to Chris Parr a FCA member. Hopefully he can introduce me to the Kansas group. Before talking to people in this forum I had no idea there was an active FCA group in Kansas. Thanks to Ferrari chat a a lot seams to be happening for me. I really appreciate this forum the best and most helpful I have ever been to.

Dan, which town are you from? You should go to some of the KC FCA events. There are 100-200 Ferraris in Kansas, many around KC. |

This story is about my experience with Fellow Ferrari chat members Mike Charness and Dr. Erik. Mike and Dr Erik graciously invited me down for a ride in their cars. I dont think they realized that I was crazy enough to drive 12 hours from Kansas to Alabama just to ride in a Ferrari. Part 1: My Ride in a Ferrari 3rd gear, 8000 rpms, 75 mph, 90 degree turn and I have nothing to hold on to so I grab my knee and try to breath. Mike and the 1985 Ferrari 308 handle the turn with skill and ease. The engine screams with approval as Mike clicks into 4th. Im in my First ride in a Ferrari and its crazy fast. The feel of the leather, the sound of the engine, the smell of Alabamas country side its all perfect. Yet one question lingered: IS THERE A POSSIBILITY THAT MIKE WILL LET ME DRIVE A FERRARI? Ever since I was five I would wonder, read, go to every car show I possibly could, and search endless chat rooms trying to answer that simple question: What would it feel like to drive a Ferrari!? The twelve hours it took to get up here, the seemingly never-ending hours my girlfriend bitched about going half way around the country to see a car, and the night before I was suppose to be sleeping away all led back to that single question: Will I be able to drive a Ferrari?????? Looking up at Mike I try to read him. Is Mike crazy enough to let me drive? Its about then that I realize that next to me sits an extremely nice gentlemen who has spent over a week planning this extraordinary day. His kindness is unmatched from most anyone I know. I feel ashamed that I want more. I decide to enjoy the moment. It is than that Mike starts slowing the car down, pulls into a small gas station, looks at me and asks, Would you like to drive? My mouth drops. I feel like an 18-year-old kid that just got asked if he wanted to go on a date with Brittany Spears. I asked Mike if he was serious. He said yes. I get out of the car and take a look at the extraordinary machine that I will be driving! It is by far the cleanest most beautiful Ferrari 308 that I have ever seen. Mike hands me the keys. I open the hand-built door, slip into the leather seats and start the legendary engine. I was then struck with an unfamiliar question. I have been fantasizing about driving a Ferrari for years. There hasnt been a day that has gone past that I havent thought about it. Not a night that has passed that I havent dreamt about me a Ferrari and the open road. What if it wasnt up to par? What if it drove like a Geo metro. What if every second I devoted to searching for every known tidbit of information on Ferraris was a waste. I would soon find out. I am writing Part 2 and 3 Should be done in a day or too. Part 2: My Drive in a Ferrari 308 Part 3. Dr Eriks 365 GT4 I will post up Pictures as soon as I figure it out. I WANT TO THANK MIKE CHARNESS, BILL ( whose car had a problem), MY GIRLFRIEND AND DR ERICK!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!
