Dan got to drive the car about 20 miles on both curvy back country roads and some open highway. As he and I both put it that morning, "What's not to love?" It was a pleasure sharing the pleasure of my 308QV with someone else who really appreciated it. It's fun to be there and see the expression on their face when someone has their "first time" in a Ferrari, especially a first time behind the wheel of one. Dan kept saying, "Oh God, oh God, oh God"... I presumed it was a prayer to the Almighty of praise and thanksgiving for one of the special joys we've been given in this life!

Part 2 My Drive in a Ferrari 308 Read part 1 first There are art critics in this world that do nothing but look at art. They dont get to experience the art or be part of the painting, sculpture ect. We Ferrari enthusiasts are lucky, we get to be a part of our art. That is the first thought that popped in my head before I let out the clutch, eased into the gas and was off. The second thought I had was: I AM DRIVING A FERRARI!!!!!!!!! The car that had dictated the way I spent my free time for the last 20 years. The dream was finally a reality. After getting acquainted with the car for a couple of blocks Mike told me to open her up. I didnt want to be an ungrateful guest so I decided to oblige Mikes request. The gas pedal was put down to the floor. The engine lit up with excitement that is unobtainable from the cookie cutter cars I was used to. Between 5,000 and 8,000 rpms the sound, feel, and excitement of the car was at its peak. I went into a corner to discover it handled like a go-cart on steroids. It reads minds. You think of turning and the 308 did it. And the best part: the car begged for it. It wanted to be driven with Passion. Passion, thats the only word to describe a Ferrari 308. While driving the Ferrari it is impossible to wipe the smile off your face. The car is more enjoyable more satisfying to drive than any car I have ever drove (witch includes a Corvette Z06, and a Dodge Stealth twin turbo) All my thoughts about weather the car would be up to par with my dreams were answered with an incredible YES!!!
