The 360 looks like a good deal but I have a question: Why does it have a Euro front license plate holder and the indent for the Euro front license plate? Strange! Still a good deal. Hope my wife is getting tired of her MB 430 CLK soon and will swap to the 360. She mentioned something there yesterday.........hmm hot mama! |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=596515448 heres a real find on ebay. Its a us model 360 with 9k miles, with a low reserve. Bid is now at 126k and reserve IS met. someone here might want it, but it seems a little to good to be true. |

William, Since the Benz is a 380 the timing chain probably went and the engine blew up. |

The current bid is up to $14,000. Is there a plan for the new owner to spend $25,000 restoring this car? Or will it stay as white trash lawn art for someone that just says they have a Ferrari. Added note. A friend of mine has a 1980 Benz 380SL @ his ranch, the car is used now to store DOG FOOD & misc. junk. This car is a total loss but he says that it has a good use now. |

The rest of the body can be re-painted and hung on the wall. That is $ 5K worth to me. |

Who has the engine ? Need one for my new 308GT4 !!! You can use the old engine as a display model in the office. That is what I would do. |

Why on earth would anyone let a Ferrari get into that bad of shape? Why wouldn't you sell it before it got that bad? What a waste. |

I could weld up that block. I've already welded up a few aluminum engine parts and heads for friends and customers at work. One of them came off a Lada! That one had the best casting quality I've seen so far!! |

I don't know guys but it seems everybody is trying to whore this car. Buy it cheap and as Herb says it's worth more in parts than putting it back on the road. Part it out and make a few bucks. |

I wonder if the car has been in a flood (or lake?) |

Yeah exactly, that's why the cracked engine is a big drawback cause you could pull it out and sell it for the worth of the car if you cleaned it up and go it in a little better shape. |

That car is worth more for parts than you could ever fix it up for, even if it was free! |

It says the engine block is cracked. If this wasn't the case I would go and check it out. For a couple bucks it would make a hell of a track car. Another guy has a 79 engine in running condition which would be great in that car. What I don't understand is why it has the quattrovalvole front and rear bonnets? It looks like it has 14" wheels which would be a thumbs down too. If I had any time I would try and go check it out. |

I was bidding on it too. Willing to pay $ 5K for it, just for parts and engine. |

Well, its back. Its really a shame to let this happen to a Ferrari if not a crime. I noticed some folks from this board bid on this 308. Did some of you go out to see it? What happened? Is the car a total loss? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=596715113 |
