Art: It's Oct 23-26. Jim: I'm in the same boat kinda. Last year my wife was MISERABLE at the track.(just not her thing) But she did enjoy the Concourso and the dinners. But this year it is a moot point because she has to work 3 12's that weekend so she misses out on all of it. As far as your situation goes, there is PLENTY to do downtown to keep her busy. If you think about it, the reception on Thurs she'd like, Friday at the track she could roam the French Quarter etc till 5-ish, then hit the dinner that night. On Sat for the Concourso I believe Oak Alley plantation will be open for tours etc during the event. Then the ball/Bourbon St balcony is that night, then the luncheon on Sun finishes out the weekend. It's just a suggestion. I'd hate to see you this close and not go. I CAN'T wait! It's going to be a major blast!! Dave | ||

Therein lies my problem Dave. My wife wants to go, but isn't interested in anything but the dinners. She doesn't want to go to the track, isn't interested in the concours etc. If she didn't go, it wouldn't be an issue but it seems a little frivolous to bring her when she won't be doing much. | ||

I'm pretty sure I'll be there DES. Where are you and everyone else going to be staying. I don't think I'll be able to swing the 750.00 for the whole event but I do plan on spectating at the track event and the Concourse. We'll definitly have to meet up if possible for a little Bourbon Street action. What time do you arrive. If you need a ride let me know. I think I'll be driving over there early Thursday. | ||

Well, i did it... Just bought my tickets to New Orleans for the Ferrari French Quarter Classic in October... i'm looking forward to it - anyone else here going...? After i bought my tickets, i realized my flight to leave is early Sunday morning, but i think i can change that for $20 extra... i'll have to check it out... So who else is going...? |
