Speaking of beating horses:

"A bad marriage is like a horse with a broken leg: you can shoot it, but that doesn't fix the leg."

Greg - you are correct - from Latin - Beating a dead horse. Wasn't thinking of doing anything strange with a dead horse. Jeff, got your e-mail and saw your contribution to the thread. The new wheels are tempting - hmmmmm - let me think on this one for a day or so.

Rob - subject was chosen merely to express minor frustration over organization of F-Chat. I know this has been discussed numerous times before, but it became apparent to me when trying to collect disparate data on the Boxer. Had to look in many different searches and areas. Thanks for your efforts on F-Chat. We can all learn to live with whatever you decide.

I think James meant the word to mean "beating a dead horse" but I think it translates into "having sex with a dead horse", not quite the same meaning.

Terry, Mike - LMAO...!!!

Someone get Hubert or Bill, they're bound to know what the hell that word means... It's probably something along the lines of "Of, pertaining to or characterized by the act of sexual intercourse/sodomy with an equine/horse/pony, etc."

Man.... I feel ripped off. The topic heading had me all fired up to learn about some new-fangled sexuality craze that was sure to get Franks panties all in a giant wad! Sex with dead horses???? Only way to make it worse would be to have homosexual sex with dead horses? Does this new fad have a website? What does PETA have to say about this?

There will be many new Topics on the new board. I think model specific topics will be at the center of this. Thanks.

One thing though, as many technical procedures are the same from car to car, do you think various topics by technical area would be better?

Rob - I know we have beaten this horse to death, but it would be extremely helpful if we could have forums dedicated to particular models. For example, break the Technical section into vehicle types: Boxer, 3x8, 550/575, etc.

There is enormous value in the information, but it is extremely difficult to find particular threads of interest. The Search engine is wanting.

In my younger days I started a company that supported a bulletin board for pharmacists. This was prior to the Internet (1985-present). It is divided into therapeutic class and disease type. Much easier to find areas of particular interest.

Just the thoughts of an old gray-hair wanting things the way they were.
