it does indeed have chain driven cams which you can actually hear. It is pretty wickedly cool sounding -- i mean it is like crunchy - like an electric guitar might have as opposed to humming like you get with normal belts. I dont have the book in front of me but i usually have the car get checked out about once a year just for timing and related so i can avoid any mishaps in that department. As with many ferrari's that might sit for some time without being driven, it's important to make sure that there is no "stretch effect" going on.

I'll pull up the manual next time I am in the garage and check it out.

Doing some reading I discovered that the F 50 has Chain driven cams. I was curious if anyone here knew the service intervals for adjustments and replacement?
