I was caught in a NASTY traffic jam in Toronto, 31 deg C (600 deg F?) plus humidex AND smog. Driving the 328 with top off, sweating like a pig as the air hasn't been fixed!
Made a lot of "friends", started talking to other guys into cars! A couple of Vipers and a nice 996 TT.
Got home and jumped into the pool, didn't even bother with the clothes!
Tried to access FChat and couldn't. Suffered severe withdrawal and had to actually talk to the boss to pass the time...she was happy!
Woke up this morning and power was back on. Have already posted 15 messages!!! AHHH, all is well. I think I'll drive the Dino today.

Bruce,

So how did you do as for battery sales due to the black out?

FYI-I'm out & will send you $$ for my AA restock. Damn, my MP3 player eats these things up!

So I am in an airplane at 30,000 ft over the smokey mountains, just left Atlanta about an hour ago, on the way to Toronto and finally Ottawa, and 10 minutes after 4 the pilot comes on the speakers and says that we are turing around to head back to Atlanta because the eastern seaboard is in a blackout... With all of the going on over the last few years......well enough said, I was on the phone to the wife and all is OK. Another night in Atlanta....not so bad......but I want to get home now....

All of Detroit is down, but out here in the sticks west of the city we have power. Pity all the poor hot rodders who are in town for the Dream Cruise! We were just about to leave for Woodward Ave. to catch the sights when the power flickered. Luckily we stayed home. They're saying it may take all weekend to regain full power in Michigan. Atlanta here I come!

Not all were affected.

The Pennsylvania region of FC was still able to meet. Check out the early Boxer.

It's all a Wellington Battery scheme to get people to buy more AA's for their flashlights :-)

My grandmother, mom, and sister are absolutely convinced that this is a terrorist attack.

Our power (in South Jersey) went out for a few seconds when this happened. I went outside and started yelling at the guys doing construction on our street. (They've been really nasty to everyone in my neighborhood...) I guess it wasn't them after all.

Looks like I will be busy tomorrow. I'm a power broker. I just spoke to our Brooklyn office and they tell me that they can't get home tonight. Glad I'm in Texas. Our power grid here doesn't touch any other states. We are like our own country down here.
