J R K (Kenyon) Member Username: Kenyon Post Number: 617 Registered: 10-2002 Posted on Friday, August 15, 2003 - 1:00 am:    BUGATTI VEYRON HITS THE TRACK Thursday 14th August 1000bhp road car hits the race track in the USA MONTEREY, Calif. - August 14 - The Bugatti Veyron 16.4, the 16-cylinder supercar powered by twin banks of Volkswagen W8 engines, made its first on-the-track-and-running appearance today at Laguna Seca Raceway in preparation for Saturday's World Premiere at the Rolex Monterey Historic races. The much-anticipated sports car will take to the track for demonstration laps just before the historic Bugatti Grand Prix, a race featuring 1909 - 1939 Bugattis, scheduled for 1:30 PM PDT. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has four turbochargers, and develops 1001 horsepower at 6000 RPM.
